Beautifully upgraded, spacious and private six bedroom, two bath home near all of the entertainment, nightlife and attractions Detroit has to offer. A great place for family and friends. Recently remodeled throughout, the property includes a full kitchen with brand new appliances, including stove, refrigerator, and microwave. Bedrooms are comfortably furnished with beautiful new crisp linens, pillows and bed coverings.

Family Christmas vacation

Cool place in a good location
Really enjoyed the stay here -- some friends and I were visiting more friends who live in the area, and the property was very convenient to all the cool, fun things they had us meet them to do. If I ever travel back to the area, I'll 100% stay here again!

Great house for large group
Our party loved the house. It had more room than needed for our party of eight. We used Uber to go to the Lions game- only $20.00- that's how close you are to downtown Detroit. Everything was so clean and the beds were super comfy! Would definitely stay again!

Bad neighborhood, misrepresentation
I was very disappointed with this property. The neighborhood was not safe. Lots of homeless asking for food/money. Upon entering the home had a strong paint/stain smell. There was no cable or antenna to watch television. There were only 2 bathrooms (they advertised 2.5) that had the worst water pressure I’ve ever experienced. I can not recommend anyone stay here.

Great home, not so great neighborhood.
The owners of the place did a great job with the remodeling and up-keeps of the home - very welcoming....everything we needed were provided for us. Thank you so much for making our stay comfortable. However, if I don't mention these incidents, i wouldn't be honest in my review - so, the drawbacks from our stay are 1) that the neighborhood was a bit scary for the children due to prying eyes on the street corners when we drove back to the house every evening. 2) emergency sirens ( all three nights we were there) were going off at odd hours in the night. And 3) we heard gun shots from a few blocks away - soon after that, we had a cop car shinning lights as it went around the blocks... but all these are not the owners fault! Would i stay here again? No, not in this neighborhood, but i would definitely stay with these owners at a differently location if i was to travel back to Michigan.

Cute and Comfortable
The owner was very responsive to my inquiries and followed up timely. The house was in a quiet neighborhood with a Church across the street. The inside is as beautiful as the pictures and was comfortable for our entire family while we were there. We would HIGHLY recommend this house for anyone traveling to the Detroit area. If we are in the area again, we will definitely rent this house again.

Great first time
This was my first time ever dealing with Home Away, so I was a little skeptical. Upon entering the home I was very impressed by how clean and nicely furnished it was. The street was really quiet, which made us feel safe! My host Shelly was the best, only a phone call away and was very prompt in responding. My family and I were very pleased with those comfortable mattresses! The only thing I would change would be the dining room set, other than that I was very well pleased and satisfied. Thank you for making our holiday nice! Judy
