"I like the current standard of the Marriott hotels. Comfortable bed. Nice lighting. Smart TV. Close to lots of cafes and attractions. Luxury surroundings. A bar fridge. Basic coffee making facility in room. Unfortunately there are major roadworks out front of the hotel and nobody let google maps know. Once we found a parking spot, allegedly belonging to another nearby hotel, the garage was easy to access. There is a €12 / night charge. Like many hotels in Spain there is no air conditioning...

"Hotel Santiago in Benavente is an excellent first class 5 stars Hotel. Great service and beautiful rooms. Located walking distance to downtown with shops, restaurants and a splendid Spaniard architecture and old streets. Across the hotel is the La Rocha restaurant, considered the best in the area , delicious home cooked food. Complete dinner €12 including an appetizer, main course, desert, and a bottle of house wine.
