"Very nice room and overall hotel was extremely clean. Friendly staff and great level of service. My only negative (from a foreigner) would be the food - it was very average/below average, but affordable. They did upgrade our room free of charge when our hot water didn’t work and they were very kind and accommodating when I asked for late check out (we left very late and they didn’t charge any extra for it) they also helped arrange taxi rides at the front desk. Overall, very good stay 👍"

"This is in a beautiful location! High up in the hills. The hotel is lovely. We arrived and waited for an hour or so. It seemsd abandoned and the telephone number was out of order. So we decided to leave and walk down the hill to find another hotel. So lucky for us we asked a man if he had a tuktuk and it turned out he worked at the hotel sometimes so took us back. Indika was incredile. He looked after us from start to finish. Made sure our rooms were kovely and clean. Brought us refreshments....

"The Hotel is very large in size and the staff were very pleasant and helpful organising a driver to take us out of the area to visit all the places of interest we would not see otherwise. Kurunegela itself is not geared up for tourism and is more your local town. So there is a need to travel out. The Hotel is tired with the decor and carpets needing to be replaced and an overall update required. The restaurant choices are limited and overall the Hotel and the area does not cater for europeans"

"Got the wrong room and only noticed it a couple of hours after we arrived. We paid for the elephant bath view and we were literally on the opposite side. We went to tell the receptionist after dinner and they didn't do anything. We had to go back at the reception the following morning and had to argue with the restaurant manager (it seems) because the actual manager was nowhere to be found. We paid for a deluxe room with ELEPHANT BATH VIEW and we got the river view. The whole point that we...

" I had such a peaceful night here. The surrounding countryside is idyllic and the rooms are light and airy looking out into treetops. Fully recommended. "
