Only a short walk from beach access and featuring a private pool, Sugar Beach Cottage is sure to provide the perfect beach getaway! Located in the heart of Crystal Beach, this recently renovated, 3BR/2.5BA home has an ample amount of outdoor space, including a relaxing screened-in back porch with new patio furniture! When you’re not catching sun by the pool, chill in the comfortable living room with a huge flat screen TV, play a game of cards around the dining table, or fire up a meal in the spacious kitchen. Upstairs you’ll find the king master suite with balcony access and a gorgeous en suite bath with double vanities, a claw foot soaking tub, and separate shower. The second bedroom has a queen bed and a twin bunk nook and the third bedroom has a twin over full bunk bed and queen air mattress for extra sleeping arrangements. Snowbird Season runs November thru February. For a quote, select an arrival date (must be the 1st day of the month) and a departure date (must be the 1st day of a subsequent month). Area Attractions: 

Crystal Beach is a terrific residential area, yet close to restaurants and activities in Destin. Walk to close by restaurants such as the award-winning 790 Inn on the Gulf or Camille's, get your fro-yo on at U-Twirl Frozen Yogurt, or learn how to ride the waves at All-A Board Surf School.  

Close by is Destin Commons, a beautifully landscaped, pedestrian-friendly area and a great family venue where children will love to play in the interactive water fountains. Also for the younger guests, a nautically/pirate themed outdoor playground features a 1,750 square foot soft play area with various creatures from the sea, slides, and a treasure chest!  Destin Commons also has a mini-train for the kids. Destin Commons features over 75 shops and restaurants, including Godiva Chocolates, AMC Movie Theaters and Bass Pro Shop.

If you are near Miramar Beach, the snorkelers in your group will love the new artificial reef called Dolphin Reef, deployed in 2017.  Located just 685 feet straight out from the Miramar Regional Public Beach access (by Pompano Joe's), it is becoming a haven for sea life. Each of the 4 snorkeling reefs comprises 40 acres of permitted sea bottom. The Dolphin Reef is at a depth of 12-20 feet. We strongly recommend that snorkelers use a kayak, paddleboard, or other flotation device when visiting the snorkel reefs. Sea conditions can and do change quickly and often. Enjoy!

Charming 2 story Beach House
This was a family vacation and the house was perfect for us! It was wonderful having our own pool and only a 2 block walk to the beach. Many stores and restaurants nearby. The house was beautifully decorated with the beach theme. Plenty of outdoor seating around and by the pool. The house was very clean, no bugs and everything worked. We played games and cards around the big dining room table. We did not have any issues at all. The beds were the most comfortable than any other place we have rented through the years. We would definitely rent this property again!

Our stay at Sugar Beach Cottage was fantastic! It was myself, my two daughters, their spouses, and my two grandchildren. The house was very nice and clean. It was just a short walk to the beach and just across the road from Destin Commons and lots of restaurants. Would definitely stay here again on our next family vacation!

We had a wonderful time here and really enjoyed the location. My only complaint is I wish they left more than 1 laundry pod/packet and more than 2 dishwashing tabs. We also couldn’t find any extra trash bags, toilet paper or paper towels and had to buy our own extras.

Great location in Destin
The property definitely was a cute little house that was perfect for our girls trip! You are a short walk from a small section of beach that you can lay out on (just nuzzled in between two private beach area so it’s a little snug). Beds were comfy and the kitchen area was good to hangout. Only complaint really was the alarm for the doors outside that aren’t supposed to be turned off. They were SO obnoxiously loud. I do wish the pool was heated at our time of year too. Overall would definitely recommend the house!

Cute home, plenty of space and perfect location!
The home was exactly what it was listed to be! It was spacious, clean, cozy and was in a quiet location but close to everything we needed and wanted to see or do! It was just right up the block from the beach and walking distance to several little places to see. The only thing that could make this place better would be a little gas firepit on the patio or a hot tub.

The property was as pictured, we were very pleased and we were within walking distance to the beach. The only thing we were disappointed in was the grill outside, it was not clean so we were not able to use it and the lights around the pool were not working, that was very disappointing.

The property was beautiful and a short easy walk to the beach. Plenty of room for our family. The pool and outside space were great! The decor was very pretty. The only complaint I have is the master bed was horrible! The mattresses are on the floor and the mattress had a huge hole in the middle and you would actually roll to the middle of the bed. The last 2 nights I had to sleep on the sofa.

Great location, but minor issues.
GREAT location and good overall experience. Cozy cottage style home but there is a need for a little "maintenance" / "upgrades" with the exterior doors, screened in porch, and outside pool area in order to stay competitive with similarly priced homes nearby. Our cost was split between all of our party so it made it easier to accept the condition, but if I had all of the cost placed on me I would have questioned the pricing based on the other properties very close by with similar pricing. The specific items to note: Screen was very dated along with the look of the outdoor area. No LED lighting on the outside portion or in or around the pool. The old style "home depot" $9 solar lights were not working and the concrete around the pool although maintained with fresh paint had a large crack that is a potential trip hazzard. Again, it's a cottage house which was nice, roomy, comfortable for our party but the outside is just a little dated. That said, we did enjoy the stay. Nice little cottage, absolutely GREAT location, we enjoyed the short walk to the beach, then back to the house to lounge in the pool. Probably the best part. We'd stay again (if the pricing is good) or split the cost again. For recommendations on how to update the outside area, just look at the house right next to the pool. That's a great example. Oh, parking was good for actually 4 cars which that wasn't stated on the ad but there was plenty of room. Oh, and AC probably needs a tune up.

Wonderful property, but small nuisances make a huge difference.
The property was absolutely beautiful and the location was perfect. The only thing that keeps this place from getting 5 stars is that they really provide you with the bare minimum. 1 roll of toilet paper per bathroom, 1 single trash bag. In a house that fits 10 people, these things run out/get used up quickly. Having to go out and buy necessities like toilet paper and trash bags on a trip is a little pitiful. This is not a cheap place to stay, so I expected that for the price we paid, we would be provisioned. Also, check out time of 10 am is a little too early. I know it’s only an hour off from the standard 11 am check out, but for people having to pack their stuff, and do all of the cleaning required by the property… an extra hour means a lot.

The house was even better than the pics! It was The prettiest and most landscaped house that we saw in the area. Wish we could have stayed for longer to enjoy the beautiful porches and pool. Walk to beach was easy! Ubers easy to get as well.

My now husband and I rented this house as a wedding gift to each other. We went to Destin to get married. This house was just perfect! Very close to the beach, private pool. We loved this house. The pictures shows the exact layout of the home. The home needs a deep cleaning. From dusting to moving the furniture to clean underneath. Removing the cousins to clean couches. We had more things from previous guests than our things.
