The apartment is very spacious and comfortable but what really sets it apart is the location - the views over the bay, the sunsets, the boat life are all just wonderful. We just lived on the balcony and were visited by local birds every day and listened to the tree frogs sing. "Booking through Vrbo and pre-arrival communication with the owner Vicky, were excellent. The location and property were both fun, beautiful and quirky, with its pool and gardens and beach access boardwalk, but perhaps a little more isolated than the description given.Accessing the property by ferry was fun but did prove limiting as the main bay ferry only operated from 9.00ish to 5.00ish and other ferry options were limited by availability and response.It would have been helpful to have more up...

"The overall experience was good for the property itself and we found the manager to be accommodating when we wanted to check in early. We also found Laborie (the local village) to be wonderful, with friendly people and an awesome local beach. Check-out was easy and super no-fuss. There were a couple of things that detracted from the stay, however. The kitchen could have been cleaner on check-in some of the plugs might not have been working, and the oven took over an hour to pre-heat to 350F....

"I was met on arrival by Debi. She showed me around and explained certain things. The view from the condo was fabulous. Waking up everyday and seeing those turquoise waters was great. Enjoying breakfast on the balcony was another plus. I choose the location to be away from the hustle and bustle off Rodney Bay. The place gives you a simple St. Lucian feel. "

You will, even in a short stay, get to know the owner/general manager Colin Hunte and his large staff, who take truly uncommon pride in the property and guest experience. Colin is a walking encyclopedia of St Lucian knowledge, lore, and history. He is truly one of the most extraordinary hoteliers we've encountered in 40 years of travel. We received great and highly personalized advice and support in arranging activities that fit our interests (tennis, food, hiking, birds). The place is a great value at this price with a lovely beach steps away from your front door, and a good, "down home" restaurant on site. "

"The staff carries this property! The staff makes the entire experience even better. They are welcoming, great communication and action driven. The property itself, is cute and cozy. They have the right amount of entertainment while still allowing you to be able to rest by 11p. There are alot of food options and the views of the city are a true dream!"

fun resort with incredible views and great staff

"Unique resort with an astonishing view from the hillside above the center of Soufriére. Very friendly and helpful staff. Nice pool and bar area. Good restaurant. Short (if steep) walk to the beach and town. Heed other reviews about stairs -- the hillside setting is what gives this resort charm, but if you don't like climbing stairs it won't be for you. There will be some noise from roosters and dogs in the town early in the mornings, so bring earplugs or a white noise machine if you're a light sleeper and you like to sleep late. Overall a great value compared to other very pricey nearby resorts if you want an amazing view."
