Thoroughly recommended!
A deceptively spacious, well equipped cottage with loads of character. The beds are comfortable and the bathrooms excellent (plenty of hot water too!). French windows lead to a secluded garden with a patio area for eating out. All In all a really cosy, warm cottage, centrally located if you want to take in the many attractions that Norfolk has to offer. The owners gave us a lovely welcome and made us feel that they were always available if need be - needless to say there was no need!
Our only disappointment was that the pub and shop described in the details as being half a mile away were actually 1.8 miles distant down a tortuous lane for walking and the pub closed about a year ago. This is why I have not given the cottage 5 stars but there is a co-op much closer (1.3 miles) than the shop and down a safer road. This only had a minor impact on our holiday but, not wanting to drive back some distance in the dark, we decided to stay in each evening. My wife insists that she actually enjoyed cooking in such a large well equipped kitchen and it meant, of course, that we did not have to worry about drink driving!!
That said we both thoroughly recommend this property and should we return to Norfolk will not hesitate to book in again. Thank you Mr& Mrs Anderson - and the fresh farm eggs, cake and loaf of bread were a lovely surprise!
