Con: The room I am describe is the 2 rooms away from the main building. A little cottage on the side of the building.
Room is smell of Dam,can't sleep all night.
The toilet was very dirty and the toilet brush should never be there, its discussing.
The cup is very stained. The room needed a new lick of paint.
The bed is sinking to the middle. lucky I was on my own, with 2 people no-way.
Pro: The Wi-fi is very fast. The bed sheet is clean.
Good hotel with comfortable beds nicely decorated with coffee & tea making facilities. The ensuite was a little tight in our room. But overall a satisfied for the price paid
We recently spent one night at Blenheim House on our way heading north. The staff were friendly, the room was clean and although the bathroom had very limited space the shower worked well with plenty of hot water and the bed was comfortable.
Room was next to the kitchen and was unacceptably noisy. Also not helped by having a beam across it at waist height.
Dinner and breakfast were both very good, but overall not an enjoyable stay.

Pleasant & quite
I stayed in an annex room & it was therefore away from the road & quiet.
The bed was comfortable but the room decor was rather tired.
The staff were pleasant but not overly friendly.
The pub area had a lovely atmosphere.
We stayed here just one night to break the journey home from the south coast. It was clean and comfortable and staff were friendly. Breakfast was lovely.
Stayed in Suite 1. Unusual room with low beam. Only draw back was bathroom didn’t have a separate shower cubicle, hand held shower in bath only, would of been better if known this on booking.
Nice friendly accommodating staff. Complimentary drink as the room wasn't ready. Enjoyable food. Room was clean nice decor and good use of space. Very comfortable and great value for money. Recommend !
Great food (dinner and breakfast). Historic hotel which is full of character. Had stayed before and thought that we had booked the same suite as before. However on arrival shown a different suite. Full of character but smaller and more difficult to get around as a beam right across the middle of the room needing two flights of stairs to get around (between four poster and bathroom). Wonderful if we had been forty years younger! Eventually moved to the other suite which involved juggling the rooms round.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Blenheim House is a great place to stay, the bar and restaurant are excellent with a good choice and fantastic food. Unfortunately on this occasion I was in the annex building opposite and although the room was clean and adequate the heating system is old wasn't the best, although it was an extremely cold night. It will not put me off staying here again, but the annex rooms could do with updating.
I'd go back - but not to stay........................
Bar and restaurant are first class - and the staff are top notch.
But the room was small, the bathroom smaller and the bed uncomfortable.........................
Good hotel, but a little t.l.c. in the bathroom and better room heating would make it a very, very good hotel. However, I would stay again - good b/fast and good range of restaurant and bar food.
Fantastic breakfast and dinner. The staff were very helpful and cheerful. If there was a downside it was the wardrobe sized bathroom and traffic noise. But they were only minor gripes.
