Fantastic, one of a kind 138 year old home with 2,550 spacious sf close to the best Central Denver has to offer. One block from the light rail or a short walk to Coors Field, the convention center, restaurants, music venues, RiNo (River North Arts District) and much more. Play cards and shuffleboard in the basement speakeasy/3rd bedroom or hang out around the fire pit out back while grilling with views of the city.
The space
Built in 1886 and thoughtfully renovated by a creative couple in 2004, this house has a wide open large entertaining space but still feels like an older home with exposed brick, transom windows, grand high ceilings and original fixtures. The next door neighbors said that Mark Twain once stayed in the house. If you decide to stay in, the kitchen is fully equipped for making almost any meal with spices and oils for your use. Downstairs is a game room made up like an old Speakeasy with a poker table and 12’ Shuffleboard table ready for a fun evening in.
On the main level there are two bedrooms, one with a queen bed and the other a king sized bed. One bedroom has it's own attached bath suite. I have a queen and twin luxury EZ Beds that can be conveniently placed anywhere. Downstairs in the spacious game room/ 3rd bedroom is another queen sized bed plus the option to place a twin sized luxury EZ bed and beyond this room is a 4th bedroom with queen bed and its own bathroom with shower. A total of 7 separate beds to sleep 12. Note that to access the 4th bedroom downstairs, you need to pass through the room with the third queen sized bed. So three bedrooms have a door to close for complete privacy and one does not.
