My family (husband, three young children and two adult nephews) thoroughly enjoyed our week in Colorado. The house was very clean, modern, had all the towels and linens provided and enough space for all of us to spread out. The back patio is a great place for morning coffee! The location is a perfect jumping off point for many day trips, with most attractions being within an hour (beautifully scenic) drive. We spent a day in Denver, went to Cave of the Winds in Manitou Springs, took a train ride in Georgetown, caught a concert at Red Rocks and played in the river at Lair O the Bear park (15 minutes away). Although we didn’t make it, there is a state park with a lake right up the road and Roxborough State Park has some beautiful hiking trails. There is a really nice grocery store, an Asian bistro and a tavern within walking distance.
Our host was very friendly, helpful (offering lots of suggestions for places to eat and things to do), communicative and responsive to every email I sent very quickly throughout the entire process and our stay. The only suggestion I have for those traveling with small children is to bring your own plastic cups and smaller silverware for them if you plan on eating at the house. Overall, this is a great house and a great host for families or small groups! We will be back.
