"We had a wonderful stay at the shepards hut. The heating and lights had been put on reasy for our arrival as we were later than the check in time . Carol the owner had messaged me earlier in the day with directions which was a nice welcome. She had also given us a lovely recommendation for somewhere to eat that evening. We really enjoyed our stay. "

"Really nice property with lovely views. Nice owner. The check in process was a bit difficult due to navigation issues as it is hard to find recommend using what 3 words app to help. Surrounding area is very quiet if you are looking for a quiet get away. Very clean area and property. However there is no wifi and the property was listed to have this and the gas fire did not come with any instructions so we could not use it, but there is a heated floor which is lovely. "

"This place hasn't been look after at all for years!When we arrived could only see massive stinging nettles and dumping area. The yurt was dirty, smelled of damp and mould. The towels were not provided as per webside offer and beds were uncomfortable and bedding didn't smell fresh at all. The lightning didn't work on a patio either. "This was our first time staying here and it certainly won't be our last. The shepherd's hut is beautifully decorated and has such a cosy and comfortable feel to it. The under floor heating kept it lovely and warm too despite the snow outside (which also made it super pretty). The outside space was so private and had a fantastic view over the fields and to the hills beyond. Our favourite thing was sitting out at night by the fire pit and relaxing, looking up at the stars.
