Since lots of others commented on the road to the cabin, I’ll start there. It’s no worse, and no better, than the other cabins we have rented in the area. The last mile or so isn’t paved, and it’s steep in places. You have to pay close attention, especially at night, but it certainly wasn’t as bad as other reviews had me expecting. Even after a torrential downpour, we had no issues. For the 6 of us (4 adults, 2 teens), the cabin was lovely, the two bedrooms both have full size beds, the loft has a queen. The bathrooms were clean and had everything we needed, and I love that the loft had its own bathroom. The kitchen area also had everything we needed. It was cleanish. The floor had someone else’s crumbs left behind. The porches are fantastic. There is a path that runs next to the river where we saw turtles, and a river otter. Our only issue was a bat, probably seeking shelter from the rain, that we think entered through the chimney. But we opened the front doors and he found his way to freedom. I would totally stay here again.
