Stunning Views
We truly enjoyed our stay. It was very peaceful listening to the waves and watching the boats/sailboats. The house was perfect - it looked exactly like the pictures. It was a great week away to just unwind and relax.

Beautiful views at bay retreat
This house is stunning. We loved the decor and aesthetic- all understated to let the view shine. The view was beautiful! The layout worked with our 2 year old granddaughter. We especially loved the outdoor shower. There were only a few hiccups and inconveniences, but overall a lovey stay!

cottage, location,views all were better than we could have hoped for we had a very restful stay reconnecting with family since we are elderly did not participate in alot of activities but the opportunity is there if you should choose to. Lovely cottage with everything you need for a memorable stay.

Stunning Water Views
Our multi-generational family loved our stay in Fishing Bay. We spent most of our time in the water, which was clear with a sandy, gently sloping bottom. There’s plenty of room to play - it doesn’t get really deep until beyond the dock next door. The final step from the stairs onto the beach is a big one - kids and older folks might need a boost to get up and down. The screened in porch is a great place to sit, enjoy the views, and still be part of the action in the water. Inside, the views of the water are beautiful from all of the river-facing windows. The kitchen is very clean and well stocked with silverware, dishes, and pots and pans. The downstairs area has enough room for everyone to be together. The bedrooms and bathroom are well-appointed. Up the stairs, the views continue and offer a separate private area from the first floor. Similar to the beach stairs, the stairs are steep and narrow and might be challenging for kids and older folks. We carried our elderly dog up each night. The bathroom is well-designed and bedroom area is large with plenty of space to spread out. A pack and play can easy fit in front of the couch. The separate living space has a window bench to enjoy the view of the boats, a kitchenette with sink, fridge, and large table. It could be a great place to work from vacation (there’s an office chair) or gather separately from downstairs. We loved our stay and can’t wait to return.

Fishing cottage was so lovely- we were prepared to see a place not quite as bright, spacious and lovely as the pictures in the listing, but it was just as presented. The master bedroom is bright and has sweet views of the bay- the upstairs is amazing as well- great views and really well set up. It warmed up enough that we were able to enjoy the porches, and even the beach in the 2nd and 3rd days of our stay. The kitchen is well set up- we are all of our meals in. We will definitely try to stay here again- felt like we got lucky with this booking!

Wonderful property
This apartment rental is wonderful. The styling was beautiful and the proximity to the beach was spectacular. The side balcony is a perfect place for morning coffee or an evening cocktail. We saw herons and my husband and son caught croaker, spot, pinfish and more. We grilled beachside and enjoyed the water. Thanks for sharing your property with us.

Relaxing Vacation
This was one of the nicest trips I have taken in a long while and I loved the location and being able to have a private setting for just relaxing and soul resetting. The home was clean and the views were amazing. I would highly recommend it to anyone. The price was also in our budget which made it more appealing. Our grandson came down for 1 day and he loved playing in the sand and did not want to leave.

Beautiful, idyllic, relaxing spot for a getaway by the water
What a lovely, peaceful spot to relax for a few days! The view of the bay, the color of the water (just like in the picture), the little private beach - all so nice whether lounging in the window bench, sitting on the deck, hanging out in the back yard or wading into the bay. Really nice job with the cottage reno - love the aesthetic with modern white and light wood combined with unique older items. We had such a nice time here we didn't want to leave; same with our pup. We didn't get to take advantage of anything in the garden, but it's been done with care. Look forward to coming back here! Great eats in the area (the other river realm towns are all within 20 min or so drive): Merror Tasting Room (delicious, wonderful setting by the water), The Table (just down the street), Old Farm Truck Market, Fish Hawk (at the Tides Inn). There are other places that look interesting in the area (esp Irvington). Close enough to the colonial triangle that you can also stay in this lovely, chill setting and still check out those towns (we went to Jamestown and Yorktown). Pleasant hiking at York River State Park; waterside relaxing at Hughlett Point Nature Preserve. Highly recommended!

Delightful Find in Deltaville
The Fishing Bay Cottage was a wonderful home-base for our family of four to explore Virginia’s Middle Peninsula region. The cottage is lovely, clean, and the hosts have thought of every need. The beautiful views from the house and the beachfront are a rare find. Our boys, ages 7 and 10, enjoyed playing on the beach and yard; the adults enjoyed relaxing and enjoying the views. We enjoyed watching shore birds, and had a blue heron visit a few times during our stay. There’s lots of life in the water too- sailboats, schools of fish, and as a big surprise we saw dolphins swim by! We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful spot and can’t wait to return.
