"I had to wait to check in at least two hours. I finally got instructions for the keys at about 6.00 pm. Owner did not answer phone when I called to try and check in. The email from Expedia clearly stated that checkout was at noon. I was being asked by the cleaner to leave the property at 11.00 am. Very disappointing check in and check out process. "

From the amazing quiet location- nestled among the towering Meteora rocks; to the stunning design of the building and rooms; to the exemplary service, we couldn’t have been happier. Incredible frescos elaborately finished with gold leaf adorn the chapel in St. Nicholas monastery. Although it is the smallest Meteora has to offer, in my opinion it is also one of the best. Not to be missed!

"A very unique property that does not fit any criteria neatly. Our room has a separate dining room and basic kitchen. Yes the property is old but it’s not tired. It is family run with great pride. And what a location right under the rocks of Meteora and within walking distance of three of the monasteries for those who are ready for the steps. You do need nerves of steel to drive up the narrow streets to get to the hotel!"

"We had an exceptional experience starting from the first minute we stepped into the lobby. We were greeted by a receptionist, a very kind lady who provided us with local area maps. The room was cute and cozy. It was updated and looking modern. The next morning we had a good breakfast. The receptionist helped to plan an efficient Meteora tour. The day was simply magnificent. The hotel also provided a recommendation for a nearby tavern, it was delicious."

"Beautifully designed and decorated modern, eco friendly room/ suite with lovely local artistic touches, such as beautiful light fixtures. Very comfortable and friendly and Kastraki is a pretty, small village very accessible to the Monasteries. Plenty of places to eat. Would highly recommend."
