"We arrived at 11 PM and had to pay an extra €20 for the housekeeper tower us in,despite us informing the owner that we would be late. The shower was lukewarm, there was no toiletries in the bathroom, no welcome pack, no coffee or tea and we did not sleep well as the fridge was noisy all night long. We were hoping to use the bikes that were advertised but there was no one available to help us in the morning. I complain to the owner the next morning about the problems but he was not interested....

"What an amazing quiet place to stay. The rooms are cute and well designed with comfort. Has a huge pool to relax. The breakfast is delicious and plentiful with freshly served coffee if your choice. Family owned business and very friendly owners, they will help you with anything you need. It was a really nice and relaxing stay after all day of sightseeing and walking. Location is easily reachable from nearby popular towns and cities in puglia "

"We had rented the apartment and it was very nice, clean and cosy. Fortunately we did not have to cook nor eat onsite because it is really not equipped to do any kind of cooking. Maybe a trashcan in the kitchen could be useful also? Beyond this, the breakfast was nice and staff very friendly. We had just a big issue when checking out where they wanted us to pay 179 EUR for cleaning and other fees... it was 99 80 and I did not understand what it was for. I showed them that we had already paid...

"Do not stay here! We had to leave this place on the middle of the night! Dirty place, NO A/C no towels, smelly bathroom, everything was discussing. No front desk terrible customer service. I’m still trying to get a refund from this terrible place!! Stay away!! "

Highly recommend!Just a perfect location if you have a car. The sea views are always interesting.

"Tommasso and Maria are fabulous hosts who go out of their way to help. They came one day with pastries for us and there were refreshments and snacks for us in the refrigerator. The bed is comfortable, kitchen very well equipped! Loved the morning sunrise on the balcony with a visiting cat who greeted us everyday. The only negative was no wifi but Tommasso brought us a modem. And the thirty stairs to get to the unit. It’s not a problem for most but I have mobility issues "

"Lovely hotel and good value off season as limited facilities available. It was great as it was nice and quiet. Beautiful sea views and location. Everywhere was spotlessly clean. Breakfast was very good with plenty of choice. Overall we really enjoyed our stay. Just a couple of disappointments - the balcony had a very high front so when you sat down you couldn’t see the view! The sides were low so very open to neighbours and anyone smoking on their balcony. We had to keep the doors shut at times to keep smoke out of our room.( We were told we couldn’t swap rooms ) Also worth noting that all the balconies were in the shade in the afternoon when we visited in late September. "

Delighting Apartment overlooking the sea

"Absolutely loved our stay in Castro, the apartment was extremely comfortable, clean &typically Italian. We loved sitting outside to enjoy the sea view and ambience of the area. Castro is a beautiful town and located within easy reach of Brindisi or Bari Airports with easy to reach other towns. Lovely restaurants & views. Our hosts were welcoming. Would recommend."

What a great stay!

"We just finished up 1.5 weeks here, this was our first trip to Puglia. I picked this location based off outdoor view photos alone and was not disappointed! The town of Castro is lovely, very active in the evenings, all noise and happenings in the historic center can be heard from the apartment but we thoroughly enjoyed the music, events and even fireworks nearby. The apartment is well equipped and has the luxury of 2 bathrooms. If there is any issue with stairs keep in mind that the bedroom is on the upper floor. You can easily walk to 2 different supermarkets and the historic center, the walk to the marina is also possible (about 15 minutes) as long as physical capabilities allow for steep inclines and stairs. The only negative I could put would be the parking situation, yes there is available onsite parking which is a huge plus but the driveway is fairly narrow and had multiple cars/motorbikes and sometimes made it very difficult to enter and exit especially. This aside we would for sure recommend and would stay again!"
