"My group was planning a day in Sensoria which is only a 15 minute drive away. This place was off the beaten path and exactly the authentic Costa Rica I was looking for. Gerardo and Zelmina are wonderful people. I was practicing Spanish and they were excited to help me along and let me try. Zelmina can COOK! She would tell us all about every ingredient in her meals, where they grew, and how they made the food better. I would have slept outside in a mudpuddle if I got to eat her cooking. I loved it here. "

"The property is beautiful and we saw birds from our porch. The room is comfortable. It has a relatively big bar fridge. Gerardina is very friendly and helpful and her sister too. They handle the front desk and serve meals. It's a family business. The restaurant has very good food at reasonable prices. It is open on the sides, so you can see the flowers and plants surrounding it. Also, you can see hummingbirds and other birds. The location is excellent, very close to the national park. As for swimming, I went in Rio Celeste - Danta Free River Pool. It is fairly shallow, but a good place to cool off. Just park near the bridge. We also took the Sendero Las Sorpresas and swam there. The swimming area is protected from the current and it's gorgeous. However, the trail to get there has a lot of steps and it is slippery in places, so wear hiking boots."

" This is one of those really special places that makes you sad to leave and wanting to return. The bungalows are simple yet really well thought out. There are special touches like fresh cut foliage in the bathroom and lots of surfaces to place your belongings. Each bungalow feels very private as they are situated in such a way that the private decks look over lush grounds. The hammock is a wonderful place to hang out and see wildlife. We saw many amazing things including toucans from our bungalow, and sloths by walking the grounds of this adorable place. We had beautiful breakfast delivered right to our door each morning. Everything was so delicious and you could feel the care and love cooked into each bite. The walking gardens were so natural and serene and private. For picky sleepers, like I normally am, the bed is firm and it's not pitch black or silent, but I didn't care as I left the drapes and window open and A/C off to hear the birds, the rustle of the palms and the nearby stream. Full immersion is where it is at. We truly loved this place and would definitely visit again. "

"Super friendly receptionist and very helpful! We stayed here so that we could be close to Tenorio Volcano National Park. The motel was clean and met basic needs. The attached restaurant was good and offered typical Costa Rican fare. We were not able to take advantage of the tours offered by at the motel but tubing looked like it would be fun."
