"This is our second time staying at the Bluff and it is the perfect weekend getaway. The hosts are magic in the kitchen, from the breakfast to the complementary baked goods, everything we ate was so yummy. We stayed in the baker room last time, and the Salish room this time. Both were perfect, but book the baker if you want a little more space during your stay. The property has a perfect little hot tub overlooking the ocean, and the limited rooms on the property allowed us to pretty much have the property to ourselves the whole time. Every corner of the room and property has cool art and quirks, truly beautiful! Come stay here for your next anniversary, birthday, or just a quick escape from the city life! I have no complaints!! "

"Had a lovely week with our cats; the work space was great because my spouse had to work for a lot of it. The house is close enough to both Anacortes and north Whidbey Island that exploring was easy even with work taking up some of the time. The house is lovely, cozy, and totally set up for cooking, enjoying the fire and hot tub (even in the cold). Our cats loved the sun and big open living room space; really appreciated the flexibility of being able to bring them! For those coming from further afar, just be aware that Dewey is in the region where Whibey air base practice flights fly over which are cool, but can be loud for pets (our cats get it much worse during SeaFair at home, so they only hid maybe once when it got closer than usual). The emus down the hill in the neighboring yard, as mentioned in other reviews, are a real treat :-). Highly recommend! Would go back in a heartbeat! "

Exactly as advertised and great communication with host throughout. Communication:The host, Lucinda, was a pleasure to deal with throughout the entire experience. She was extremely responsive, communicative, and helpful. She was very friendly as well! The property and surrounding area exceeded our expectations. - Cleanliness:Property and accompanying amenities were clean. Its obvious the cleaning crew takes their job seriously and do a good job. Even the BBQ grill was clean!- Essential items:This house came equipped with significantly more than the basics - from additional tableware and highchair for kids to inside/outside entertainment and games. It was nice to have more than just the bare essentials available. Well thought out!Overall:The house is extremely comfortable, clean, and cozy. I would not hesitate to stay here again or recommend to other adults or families. Great communication, friendly host, great views, and perfect location near Deception Pass. "The wife and I needed a getaway close to home and were looking for cozy and intimate. The Cooke House gave us so much more. You could feel the generations of history here; from the man, Mr. Cooke, who built this place log by log and brick by brick with his own 2 hands."

"We stayed here for the Thanksgiving break and had a great time. The only thing is the fridge made a weird noise that sounded like grinding but other than that everything worked fine. The kids had a blast and were sad to leave. We hope to return to the area in a couple of years"
