"If you're looking for a good balance of price and quality, this hotel is a solid option. It’s not fancy or modern, and it could definitely use some repairs, but it provides everything you need for a comfortable stay. Most importantly, it’s clean. We stayed for 4nights, and each day, our room was cleaned, the towels were changed, and the shampoo and shower gel were refilled. The room and bathroom were both spotless. The hotel has a restaurant and bar, and I genuinely enjoyed the food there. If you’re into gambling, you’ll be happy to know that drinks are free while you play. The hotel also has a pool, although we didn’t use it since the weather was too cold for swimming. One charming feature is the presence of animals: a bull, 2donkeys, a goat, and a sheep, which added a bit of character to the property. There’s also free Wi-Fi in the rooms, free parking, and a gas station nearby with cheaper prices compared to the surrounding area. Other useful amenities include a laundry room and a convenience store on-site. While the hotel decor is kitschy, it has its own charm. One downside for non-smokers is that the lobby smells like smoke since the casino is in the same area. However, the guest rooms are non-smoking, so it wasn’t an issue for us. The only real inconvenience was 1night when a drunk guest triggered the fire alarm. The alarm woke everyone up, and for the rest of the night, it beeped every 20minutes, making it hard to sleep."

"Great place to stay. They let us check-in an hour early. Front desk and bar staff excellent. Hotels.com got us decent price, but maybe one of the least desirable rooms in the very nice place, Room had a fridge and coffee maker and view over some facilities of moonrise and mountains to the East. We split a 3-egg omelet breakfast and were happy with the amount of potatoes, but one got one piece of bread split between us."

The location is perfect, close to numerous restaurants and shops, making it convenient for exploring the area. The motel offers ample parking space, which was a big plus for us. The room was equipped with a microwave and fridge, which came in handy during our stay. The check-in and check-out process was smooth and hassle-free. What really stood out was the exceptional service. The staff went above and beyond to assist us with a few special requests, making us feel truly welcomed. The only minor issue was a slightly ripped chair in the room, but it was such a non-issue that it didn’t bother us at all. Overall, Mount Whitney Motel provides a great value-for-money experience with its cleanliness, location, and outstanding hospitality. Highly recommended! "
