"Was left over chinese takeaway in fridge. Bed sheets were disgusting, lots of hairs and stains. Cups were unwashed. Decking was so slippy, green molud, nearly had a bad fall. Fold away chairs in main bedroom which seems to be from outside had spider nets. We came home after being there few hours and was meant to stay 4 nights. We were so disappointed, angry, deflated as saved up our hard earned cash for our 4 nights away and ended us coming home before we should have. "

"Stayed in the Winander Club, room 888 which was excellent. The hotel and grounds are beautiful and well maintained. The staff were very helpful and friendly and we had our own reception area which was quick. Our room as on the top floor with only one other room. We had a really comfortable bed, bath in main room, good. Size bathroom with nice products and complimentary sweets. "We absolutely loved our stay at Ambleside. We were given a spa room upgrade after the first room we had. The staff are outstanding here from Ash at reception to Manuel in the dining room and Hannah in the spa. The many lounge areas are lovely and very tastefully decorated. This will be our go to hotel when we return to Ambleside! Thank you for an incredible 3 night stay! "

"This was a really impromptu trip and honestly this guest house might be the best one we’ve stayed in in Keswick. The lady that runs the place is so so lovely and friendly. She couldn’t do enough for us!! Nevermind the fact that the beds are so comfy. Definitely recommend!! "

Our stay at Ravenstone Manor

"We have stayed at Ravenstone Manor previously and have found the service to be excellent. Ravenstone is a very dog friendly hotel (so be prepared to see dogs even in the dining areas - the meals are excellent). The hotel is always kept clean and tidy and the views are breathtaking. Staff are friendly and the service is second to none. If you have a dog or just a dog lover, I would highly recommend Ravenstone Manor. Walks in the area are plentiful and scenery is amazing."
