The cabin is so cute and we loved it. We would definitely stay in the cabin again.
It did scare us when I was taking a shower and the fire alarm went off.
I would suggest that you put up a curtain over the living room window as anyone driving by can see through that big window and also one on the back door.
Thanks for letting us rent your cute little cabin. It was prefect for our little family!!!
Perfect base camp for adventures or quiet retreat intu nature
Perfectly equipped, comfortable, quiet - this cabin is highly recommended for nature lovers who grew out of camping :-).
I had booked it because it was in the core shadow path of the 2024 eclipse but I would choose it again just for its own qualities.
Thanks to Cathy who responded near realtime to questions and requests!
Private, peaceful location. Surrounded by trees. Beautiful granite. Fun decor. Everything you need for cooking either in the kitchen or on the grill. Satellite TV and WiFi. Excellent communication with owner. We will definitely be staying again.
I could write a book about the awesomeness of our stay in this cabin! It was expertly designed for convenience and comfort. The kitchen was more than well stocked. They thought of everything! The beds were very comfortable, as were the sheets. Plenty of pillows and linens were provided. There was a full-sized washer and dryer in case we needed to do a quick load, which is nice since we spent some time in the creeks. The view from the back of the cabin was private, as no other cabins can be seen from the back porch, which is wonderful for us since we enjoy privacy. There was a nice fire pit, with a grate for cooking over the fire, and there was plenty of firewood provided for our stay. LED lighting (front and back) was a nice touch so we could see the property in the dark. Our group consisted of 4 women, and we felt very safe in the cabin. I can't talk enough about how wonderful the cabin owners were. They live close by the cabin, and we were fortunate enough to get to spend some time visiting with them. I could have spent all day talking with them. They are awesome people, and they truly cared about our happiness and comfort during our stay. I can't wait to go back and take our ATVs so we can ride the trails to Broken Bow lake!
Great cabin for 4. It’s about a 2-minute drive to the Dequeen lake, or just under an hour from Broken Bow. The host left us some snacks which were very much appreciated and the WiFi was great for getting any work done that we still had from back home. Try not to open the doors at night. The wilderness has a lot of insects that make it their life’s mission to get inside. The kitchen had a stove, oven, sink, and fridge, which were tremendous. Overall great place to stay!
This property is beautiful and I’d love to stay here again. The cabin may look small from the outside, but it’s very spacious and clean. Very comfortable beds and nice shower. Electronic locks on the door made us feel more safe at night. My only critique or suggestion would be to add curtains to the front windows so neighbors aren’t able to see inside at night. And on our final day right before check out, we had some heavy rain and it created a smell through the plumbing. But overall this place is awesome and I’d highly recommend it. Cathy is excellent and quick with communication as well.
Very well equipped! Beautiful and pretty secluded! It was a peaceful trip and we loved every minute of it! 10/10 definitely recommend! Only 30 minutes from broken bow!
As a single mom of 1 and a high stress, long hours career I was in desperate need to quiet relaxation away from home and all responsibilities. I used the time to learn to practice meditation with practically zero interference from the outside world. It worked!
The cabin was beautiful, fully prepared for complete relaxation! There was a perfect amount of convenience and seclusion for my studies. I feared I would get bored but my friend was quite chatty and had so much to teach. I do believe we will be back!
I was looking to get away. The cabin was super clean, kitchen had pots, pans...everything i needed to cook my meals with. The lake is not far. The firepit area is nice. I met the owner. She was very friendly
Wow! We were so excited to spend precious time in this cabin. We had a great stay!! The cabin is cute and cozy and our host thought of everything. . . even hot cocoa . . . and first aid kit!! We even got excited about the secluded area and the one lane bridge on the way! We would definitely stay there again and I’ve already told all my friends what a great experience we had! Thank you, thank you!
It was such a great surprise to me to find such wonderful cabins near lake Dequeen. The cabin seemed brand new, well decorated with very comfortable beds. We were given an upgraded cabin at no charge because owner was worried about the air conditioner. Great place to get some peace and quite.
This cabin was exactly as pictured! Cathy was such a great host and answered any questions we had! There were PLENTY of extra blankets and towels! AC worked beautifully and we were even able to do a load of laundry! Close access to trails, a lake, and river which was great.
Do not hesitate booking this property! Centrally located amongst must see and do outdoor activities and a short drive to all the everyday ammenties! Price is reasonable and the owner Cathy went above and beyond to make sure our family had a great time!
We enjoyed our stay in this wonderful cabin. The cabin is clean, pristine and cozy. It is a nice peaceful location, close to Broken Bow and other attractions without all the people. We loved it and will definitely book this cabin again.
