Waterfront RV

Come enjoy a quiet stay in our 2017 Sunset Trail 250 RB RV parked along one of Florida’s coolest fresh water springs and Lake Woodruff National Wildlife Refuge. We are located 25 miles west of Daytona Beach in north Central Florida. The RV is located within walking distance to DeLeon Springs State Park which is open 365 days per year. Once called Acuera or "Healing Waters" by the Mayaca Indians who once inhabited the area, DeLeon Springs State Park is a place to cool off in clear waters, roam trails through a lush subtropical forest, and immerse oneself in a rich history. Our 4+ acre property has plenty of waterfront available for canoeing, kayaking birdwatching and fishing. Our two canals, which enter either side of the property, are great for fishing and watching amazing sunsets. We have two bikes and one canoe (w/safety equip.) and fishing poles available for use during your stay. There is a Fish camp/boat ramp located 200 yards from the property and plenty of room to park your boat and trailer. There are airboat tours available by request / reservation.
Make sure to enjoy a pancake brunch at the historical Sugar Mill restaurant located within the DeLeon Springs State Park, which is a short canoe ride or short walk from our property. The Deleon springs Park also offers a historical boat ride in a pontoon boat through the surrounding rivers, lakes, and streams The property is also within walking distance to Chuck Lennon Sports Park, which features soccer fields, baseball fields, tennis courts ,handball courts basketball courts, playgrounds, and is the trailhead for 13 miles of bike trails.
Enjoy bird watching? Species such as Winter Wren, Golden-crowned Kinglet and dark-eyed Junco have been sighted annually in winter, along with Yellow-billed Cuckoos, Summer Tanagers and Acadian Flycatchers during the spring and summer.
Our camper features one queen master bedroom with closing doors and closets, as well as a full/double pull out couch. The table area can also be converted into a bed for a small child if needed. Our RV is equipped with a full indoor kitchen and half outdoor kitchen. We have a full size gas outdoor BBQ grill and our outdoor covered gazebo. It’s a perfect place for who is open to tiny living, adventure and escape to nature.

Come and enjoy a little bit of our paradise.

Everything and So Much More
We arrived Friday evening. Upon arrival we were so pleased with what we saw. The RV was in a private/secure location on a 5 acres piece of property. The owners were approximately 300 feet away in the main house. Inside the RV had absolutely everything you could possibly need. We were outside during the day enjoying the gazebo which had an outdoor fan, which kept everything pretty dang cool! The bed was very comfortable, and I won’t lie…….clean!! We made fires at night, I wish I had marshmallows. Down at the lake you can watch sunsets you only thought existed in pictures. For breakfast we went to the Old Sugar Mill where we enjoyed making our own breakfast on our table. We grilled hamburgers that evening on the gas grill that is available for use at the RV. Garrett was so incredible. He and his family stopped by Friday night on their way home (shared driveway, which you don’t notice them at all) We needed something Saturday morning, Garrett wasted no time coming up to help us out. He was so people friend, we thought he was more of a long lost friend! If you are looking for a clean; private and incredible getaway……..don’t hesitate in booking. You will be happy you booked! We are already planning our trip back during the winter months.

Happiness in Paradise
We loved our stay. The RV we stayed in was very comfortable and well equipped. The property was beautiful - fabulous live oak trees and butterflies flying everywhere. My favorite part was canoeing to de Leon Springs Park. It was peaceful and lovely and I'd like to go there again someday.

Better than a 4-Star Hotel at a Quarter of the Cost
The neighborhood is wonderful. If you want to walk or bike-ride, the roads leading up to this place are country lanes. Rather than overlooking a highway with traffic noises and fumes, it is in a nook shaded by majestic trees, sharing a lake with and adjacent to a state park that has playground, trails, and swimming area. And your neighbors here - the owners of the RV - are the sort of people you'd WANT as neighbors: friendly, helpful, cheerful. After two days there we felt the same as if they had been our friends for decades. As hosts they were unbeatable: answering our many emails immediately, thoroughly, and without a hint of being bothered. The only thing that made us hesitate before reserving the RV was the photo of the bedroom; we were afraid we'd feel claustrophobic. Well, between the windows on either side of the bed and the partially open wall in front, we didn't feel that way at all. Plus, the mattress was so comfortable (tied with the best mattress we'd ever felt in our lives) we would fall asleep immediately. Being just the two of us we did not try them, but believe there were one or two pull-out beds to fit a family. The dining area in the RV is roomy enough for 4 (5 if the children are young) and quite comfortable. You could also dine (or just plain relax) outside in the large, netted, tent-like gazebo (complete with seats and fan and pretty lights for nighttime, but lacking a dining table). The hosts provide every utensil you could want for indoor or outdoor cooking, some starter items in the refrigerator, and just about anything you might possibly have forgotten in the bathroom. The toilet is clean and works well. The shower, also clean, has surprisingly good water pressure. In the RV is a basket with brochures of things to do in the area. We didn't take advantage of those because we came to visit our son at Stetson University, 15 minutes away. Some listings on Vrbo state that no one but those registered as paying guests may be on the property, but the RV hosts welcomed our son there, inviting him (as paying guests are invited) to use what the family uses: its grassy grounds, bicycles (in great shape but could not go fast even at highest gear), canoes/paddleboat, fishing poles, RV. I could see young children spending hours pretending the interesting trees are an enchanted forest, or running through the sprinklers that water the grass. A calm, shady, non-touristy oasis in sometimes bustling, hot, touristy Florida.

Quiet and convenient getaway!
My husband and I had the pleasure of staying in this cozy RV for two nights. The setting is beautiful; you are surrounded by huge oak trees and ferns and it feels completely private. We loved how close it was to De Leon Springs - within walking distance. The close proximity meant we were able to get up early and get into the park with almost no wait. The same for getting a table at the Old Sugar Mill Pancake House. After spending a fun day at the park, it was so nice to have such a peaceful retreat only minutes away. Thank you to our wonderful hosts for such a great stay. We can't wait to come back again!

AWESOME
I was attending the Florida Herbal Conference at Camp Winona and my husband tagged along to explore and relax. This RV was spotless and “rv stink free”…. It was the in a great location. Super close to DeLeon Springs State Park and Camp Winona. Quiet neighborhood. Under a canopy of trees. Canoes and paddle boat. Grill, outdoor tented gazebo. All of the little things that make a difference. And did I mention how clean it was and odor free? We’ve rented RV’s that have black water stink. This one did not. I would recommend this rental to anyone!
