AVOID!!!!
Owner was meant to meet me, my daughter & 6 year old granddaughter at the property at 6.30pm but he didn’t turn up. Waited outside in the dark in a deserted car park. Phoned him & he said I was to call caretaker but I wasn’t given the number. Owner very argumentative on phone especially when I told him that we felt extremely unsafe waiting in an unlit area and were told to wait outside near the property. Caretaker arrived after 20 minutes and was very helpful and apologetic. Took us to our room which was changed from the original room as the former had no WiFi although all rooms stated WiFi.
Double bed was 2 singles pushed together and sofa bed was king size so the double sheets we had to bring were too small- should have been advised of this. No switch to turn off lounge lights so awake most of the night due to the brightness. Pubic hair on the provided bottom sheet. Dirty and very lumpy pillows. Extremely difficult to open exit door- huge risk in the event of a fire! Once outside couldn’t lock door so belongings at risk of theft. Only 1 TV channel in Spanish.
Reported to Hotels.com who tried to contact owner but calls not answered. Hotels.com advisor kept insisting on phoning me to lodge my concern despite having text all issues to her. Advisor woke up my granddaughter with her frequent phone calls even after I asked her to stop phoning and that I would call Hotels.com customer service on my return to England the following day.
