This contemporary mountain home offers the perfect space for special family gatherings. Yeti’s Den sits hidden among the trees in a quiet highland community. The spacious well stocked kitchen is sure to inspire wonderful meals and happy gatherings with spaces to eat inside and out. Kids will love the basement with an extra-large TV while dads enjoy the pool table. Gather around the outside firepit for songs and smores or enjoy the night sky from the outside hot tub. It is a short drive to the chic towns of Davis and Thomas, and the famed Blackwater Falls. Winter visitors will discover it is a short drive to Timberline Mountain, White Grass, and the slopes at Canaan Valley too! Yeti’s Den provides the perfect accommodations for your next family vacation. Well behaved dogs are welcome too! No more than 2 per stay please.

Perfect location to ride from the house, easy to get to town, and close to the main resort at Canaan. We’ll be back!

It has pretty much everything you could possibly want, plenty of wood for the fire pit (not all rentals do). Everything was clean and tidy. The location is close to two nice little towns (Davis and Thomas) with lots of cute little shops and more importantly for our group, we were close to lots of great hiking trails. One of our companions even found a relatively near-by (within an hour) beautiful lake to paddle board on - so there was something for everyone!

Beyond expectations!
Seriously one of the most equip homes I have ever stayed it! Usually places like this are short on dishes and pots and pans but this was nothing like that! This was packed with things we didn't even think about until later, thought we were screwed but turns out they had everything we needed! It was clean, cozy, spacious, and in a beautiful location. Our group is aiming to book the same place each year now! We LOVED it! Only down side, they have a lock on the thermostat. It was a bit warm when the windows were closed, I did not attempt to reach out to management so they may have let us access it if we asked, but I can't speak to it.

The hot tub was great so was the pool table. We were disappointed that the skeeball machine was broken as I read in past reviews, I expected it to be fixed. There was also mouse droppings on some of the counters, bed linens, and tables. Despite some of the shortcomings it was an enjoyable time and would recommend this place to others.

Plenty of towels for the group of 12.Due to the secluded location there was limited views of the mountains in the area. It was a relaxing weekend for all.The only issues the guests mentioned were the skee ball game in the photos does not work and the grandkids were looking forward to playing with it. The other remark was the lack of curtains or blinds in the bathrooms. Granted, it is a remote area, but guests said they would prefer having the ability to close curtains while using the bathroom.It was roomy and had everything we needed. We had an issue keeping the smart thermostat at a comfortable temp during the day but it was a very good home for our planned weekend.Special thanks to Loraine at Best Of Canaan in helping to arrange a suitable home for our group.Highly recommend the rental for a quiet family getaway.

It was well-maintained and beautifully decorated with tons of terrific amenities. The bedrooms had enough space with comfy beds. The kitchen provided all the right equipment to cook for a large group. Our only suggestion would be to change out the hot tub water due to it having an odd smell. We enjoyed our stay here and appreciate the owners sharing it with us. We plan to return earlier next year, so the weather isn't too warm to ski!

One of the reasons we chose the property was for the ski ball machine that was advertised, and it didn’t work. The directions for check out were also unclear (strip the beds, trash disposal, etc). We also would have appreciated a lock box to gain access to the property rather than drive one way 10 minutes out of the way to get the keys. The thermostat was also locked so we couldn’t adjust the heat... just a couple areas of improvement, but overall great trip, and we would stay again!
