A nicely furnished beach house on the canal, Neutral Ground (formerly Sea Spot) is a very attractive waterfront 3 bedroom home. This waterfront home is on a boat-canal, yet a short walk to the Gulf of Mexico beach, or also the Bay. It also enjoys a partial Bay view. The waterfront deck has seating at a table with Sunbrella for enjoying a scenic meal, and there are comfortable cushioned chairs and a sofa to further relax and enjoy the views. Underneath the house is additional space to enjoy the Island life, including shaded hammocks, a boat dock, and slip, kayaks are available to rent on the island, and an outdoor shower to rinse off and cool down after an Island excursion. The house is beautifully furnished and decorated, with all new furnishings and decorations, including area artwork that really adds to the Island decor. There are three bedrooms and two bathrooms- a Master Bedroom with a King bed and an ensuite bath, a canal-view bedroom with a queen-size bed, and the third bedroom with a Duo-bunk (Full/twin) and another bunk bed (two twins). This is a great Dauphin Island home- whether you are bringing a boat, or would just like to enjoy water access and a short walk to the Gulf beach, Sea Spot will be a great place for your family to enjoy Dauphin Island.

Please note the rooftop crow's nest is not accessible.

As with all of our Dauphin Island Beach Rentals, all linens and towels are provided, WIFI, along with a fully-outfitted kitchen. There will be a starter pack of toilet paper, paper towels, and trash bags; please plan on bringing more for day 2 ;). A great beach vacation is waiting on you!

Please note the following:
1. Minimum Age for the Primary Renter is 25, and Primary Renter must be present for the entire stay.
2. Maximum Occupancy numbers include Children 3 and over and cannot be exceeded at any time.
3. All of our Homes are Non-Smoking.
4. A signed Rental Agreement is Required, which contains additional Rules and Guidance.
5. This property does not allow weddings or parties.
6. Check-in time is 3 pm, and check-out time is 10 am.
7. Start dishes and linens before departure.
8. Take the trash can to the street on Tuesday night and Friday night.
9. This home is NOT pet-friendly.
10. Cargo lifts are not available to guests and can not be used. They are not permitted by Home Owner Insurance Policies.

First time visiting the island. Rental company was very communicative and we had no trouble entering the rental. The kitchen was well stocked with sharp knives, pots, pans, and a charcoal and propane grill. The propane had enough in the tank we were able to grill one night! Living room furniture was cozy, views from upper deck were pretty. The beds were comfy (top bunks had some sand that had to be clean off). Plenty of bath towels. Bathrooms had decent amount of toilet paper & the packaged soaps smelled wonderful. The washer & dryer were a lifesaver! The outdoor shower was absolutely amazing and hammock & porch swings were a family fav. The house is just a short walk to the beach and the bay. We would head to the beach in the mornings, nap in the afternoons and go for long sunset walks on the bay side in the evenings. We were a little confused when we first arrived at the address, the exterior of the home does not match the listing photos. (Needs updated photos). We thoroughly enjoyed our time on the island and will visit again!

We stayed memorial weekend, 2 families (4 adults, 5 kids) and we had enough space to stay comfortably. When we arrived we noticed the AC unit not running properly but before we even had a chance to call, the tech showed up. It was not an easy fix and we had to spend an uncomfortable 1st night without AC. Although the property mgmt never contacted us, the tech let us know the plan and they put on a whole new unit first thing the next day. The outdoor spaces were very nice, the outdoor shower was a huge plus after coming back from the beach. We made use of the two kayaks in the canal. Also nice that there was crab traps and a kiddie pool to put catch in. Also a selection of beach toys, board games and a few movies. There is a small beach spot on the sound side just a few yards away which made it nice to walk to and watch the sunsets. The house was clean, had all the amenities needed to cook, wash clothes and have an enjoyable stay on Dauphin Island.

Neutral Ground’s location is perfect! My family enjoyed fishing from the dock and it is a short easy walk to the beach. It does need a few updates (the back steps) but you can tell they are working on it. During our stay people from the rental property stopped by to check on some repairs they’re about to do.The beds we’re comfortable except the kids said the bunk beds were a little firm for their liking. The kitchen was well equipped. There was also beach toys, crab baskets, and kayaks to use. The air conditioning unit worked very well and kept us very comfortable. Overall, we would stay again based off the location of the property.

Great stay
We had a great stay at this well-located property. It was within walking distance to two great beaches. Our grandson spent most of his time baiting and checking the crab trap in the channel. We enjoyed the beach toys, hammock, kayaks, and swing provided. Overall a good value!

We had a fantastic vacation!! Great house with plenty of room for all 6 of us! The location is perfect and we walked to the beach every day with our chairs, umbrellas and boogie boards waiting for us (from Chaise N Rays rentals). The sunsets are gorgeous on the bay side! Lots of beach toys and even a wagon available for guest use too! Btw, even a smart tv and DVD player are available so we had many movie nights and we played games on the large dining table. Overall, a fun fun time was had!

As advertised!
This house was exactly as described. Very clean. Lots of room. I loved that the kitchen utensils and cookware were usable, not messed up so you couldn’t use them. Caught some fish off the dock and some out in the bay. LOVED the hammocks!!! We would definitely stay here again and would definitely recommend it.

Great House for a Relaxing Getaway
The property was nicely decorated and had everything that we needed and more. The bed was very comfortable, the kitchen was airy, and the living room was spacious. The car port, with all the outdoor furnishings, was great for the rainy days. And they had a couple of crab traps that came in handy! Overall, it was a very relaxing stay. We highly recommend this place!

Great Location!
We loved our stay! The house is situated perfectly for beach play and for fishing. We’ll appointed with anything you could need. In fact, we forgot our crockpot for one of our planned meals and there were 2 in the cabinets! Tons of towels and beach equipment made our trips to the beach effortless. The outdoor shower saved us tracking sand into the house. Would 100% stay again.

Nice comfortable beach house in a great location... Just a short walk to the beach where we launched our sailboats in the bay. The house is about mid island so you don't have to drive too far to get supplies in town and the crow's nest on the roof gave us some amazing views of the island...

Perfect Spot
Being on the Boat canal, with a great view of the bay. Less than a block away from either the Gulf or the Bay made it the perfect spot for my family. My wife and I started every early morning enjoying coffee with our feet in the bay. There are so many crabs, and hermit crabs, and small fish. it is so peaceful. Then later in the morning we packed up and walked to the Gulf till early afternoon. Then walk back to the house for lunch. The during the hottest part of the day we found other indoor things to do like the Estuarium or the Arcades on Orange Beach, just a short Ferry Ride away. Then Grill dinner on the grill under the house, whish is a great spot to hang out all night. After dinner a little fishing in the canal or walk back to the Gulf or the bay for a quick swim and Crab hunting. Crabs are all over the beach at night. Perfect spot, quiet peaceful and three distinct water fronts to choose from.

The house is older which is fine because it was updated some and very clean. But there were a couple issues. The dishwasher didn’t work properly. And even though the washer and dryer were newer the washer has mold in it. The stove was one of the worse stoves ever! Really need an update ! The kitchen is well stocked with ALOT and I mean ALOT of dishes and bowls and plates and there is no where to store any of the food or things you might bring for your stay. These are things that were an issue for us. Others may not be bothered by this. The house has been updated and the flooring is very nice and its a perfect location for fishing and the beach. It rained a lot while we were there and there is no cover to get in the house from either door so you will get soaked trying to get in. Check in was a breeze . Perfect location for fishing.

Wonderful and life saver
The property is a wonderful location that is a block from the beach. We liked how it was quiet but within easy driving from restaurants etc. The beaches were not overly crowded and loved that there was a wagon provided. There was plenty of room for 5 adults and 2 children to have their own space. There were plenty of towels and cleaning supplies for messes. Also we used the outside shower plenty so everyone could get a quick shower in before dinner. The owner was very helpful and accommodating. We would recommend this home to anyone who wants to enjoy dauphin island for an awesome price.

Overall this place was a great place to kick back and relax. We enjoyed fishing in the canal, even caught some crabs. Outdoor shower was great.Short walk to the beach. Not too critical, but there are some issues that need your attention. My bed sheet had dark brown stains, dishwasher door was crusted with food on front panel. The rail on deck is loose, the grill would not get any hotter than 350 degrees. The oven has a roach between the windows.

This is a relaxed wonderful property. It truly had everything I needed, a decent variety of quality pots and pans, plenty of towels, good glasses and a corkscrew. The location is wonderful and walking distance to the beach. The outside shower was great as well. Check in and out was a breeze.

Labor Day weekend
Clean house. Great location. Short walk across the street to the beach. We brought our bikes and rode into town for adult beverages and we brought our boat. (Although you can’t use the boat lift)The kids fished off the dock at night. We even floated in the canal. The kitchen is fully stocked. The outdoor grills were in good shape. (We brought a propane tank). We’d stay again.

Quiet and Convenient
The house was great! This is an older property but was recently renovated/updated and was well done and very comfortable. The location is terrific - beach access at the end of the street only about 2-3 minute walk - and morning coffee overlooking the canal. View the gulf and the bay from the crow's nest - a great place to watch the sun set. We loved it!
