Jacks Senior Trip
We had a great stay. We let our son choose our destination for his senior trip. House was perfect for the 6 of us with comfortable beds and two bathrooms. We loved the relax style of the island and beaches.

It was very nice. Angles of pics made things look more spacious. But we had plenty of room. No issues that wasn't taken care of by a simple phone call. Would love to stay again!

Very happy with our stay!
This was a great place for a get away! We spent 3 nights. Everything was as advertised. Very clean! Nicely equipped kitchen, laundry facilities. The island was a peaceful, quiet place to relax (except for one very loud thunderstorm). We would definitely love to go again.

House was not clean
Needs repairs and updates. The floors and the couch was dirty. Visible black mold in all of the vents. The rugs in both bathrooms were dirty and I was fearful if I washed them thy may fall apart. The cleaning fee is high to find the property this dirty.

WE HAVE FROENDS THAT LIVE ON THE ISLAND AND HAVE A BIG BOAT - THEY INVITED US UP FOR A RED SNAPPER TRIP - WE LOCATED THIS HOUSE VIA VRBO - UPON ARRIVAL WE WERE VERY IMPRESSED - CLEAN YARD - VERY CLEAN HOUSE - BEDS WERE COMFY - THE ENTIRE HOUSE WAS EXTREMELY CLEAN AND RELAXING - YOU DEFINATELY FELT LIKE YOU WERE AT HOME INSTEAD OF STAYING AT JUST SOME OLE HOUSE - THANKS FOR EVERYTHING - P.S. THANKS TO WHO EVER LEFT THE COFFEE IN THE FREEZER - THAT WAS ONE THING I FORGOT TO BRING AND TRUST ME AFTER A 7 HOUR RIDE TO GET THERE I NEEDED A GOOD CUP OF COFFEE - I WILL FOR SURE BRAG ABOUT THIS PLACE

My family and I were the first guests to rent the property. Everything about the rental was perfect. The management was very efficient and helpful. The owner was very nice and helpful. The house itself was clean and tasteful. Nice open kitchen/family room. The pictures adequately represent the state of the house and bedrooms. I would definitely stay there again. The only reason I didn't rate it a 5 is that it's not directly on the gulf. If this house was directly on the beach, I would give it a 5.

Nasty, roaches
Not at all as advertised. The view was minimal, roaches in the kitchen washroom area, the floor in the washroom area was disgusting, and the freight elevator was unusable which made no sense considering the stairs. The toilet in the main bedroom rocked like we were going to fall in the tub every time we sat down and house smelled musty and old. There was a place In the ceiling that was gross and looked leaky.

Dauphin Island Cottage
This was our first time visiting the island so we were not quite sure what to expect. We arrived earlier than expected. I texted the owner and she was able to get us in a couple hours sooner. Super cute place! We had two families of three so there was plenty of room. We discovered the outdoor storage closet- there were boogie boards, some sand toys & lighter fluid for the charcoal grill(we left our leftover charcoal for the next family). The west end beach is three miles from the house so we rented a golf cart but were also walking across the street to the beach across the road. The deck out front is great with the three loungers to catch some sun! Having a washer and dryer was fantastic-I brought a small laundry soap from home but there was already a small Tide there. I would for sure stay there again. The island is pretty laid back- which is what we were looking for.

Great getaway!
This is a great beach house. Much more space than appears from photos. Open kitchen and living area (with a huge comfortable couch) was perfect for relazing with the family. The home was clean and a pretty short walk to the beach. Owner supplied a lot of paper products but we also brought our own. The only issue we experienced was that the air conditioning malfunctioned and would not cool. It was 85 in the home when we arrived, followed the owners direction on properly setting the thermostat and it cooled just a few degrees the whole time we had it running. Called maintenance and he made it seem like was an ongoing issue with the a/c and nothing could be done right away except open windows. We opened the windows with screens and it was much cooler outside so we had a nice breeze blowing. Not a deal breaker for this time of year. I would not have been happy with this in the heat of mid-summer, though. Overall, positive experience, good stay!

The House Could Be Nice, but.....
Overall, this house could be great, but it was lacking a lot. It was very obvious guests who have stayed here have trashed the place a couple times and are too lazy to pick up after themselves. I can see where at one point this was an amazing house, but due to guests destroying items and the owner not keeping up with what was broken/dirtied, the house is no longer in its prime. We were very disappointed with our stay, and most likely will never rent this house again. My three stars are comparable to what I would judge a hotel I would stay in for a week. Pros: -Short walk to the beach -AC works GREAT! (temps in upper 80's and low 90's during the week we stayed here) -Great WiFi -The price is better than most in the area -There are tons of kids DVD's and Coloring books in the hall closet Cons: -House was still dirty when we arrived. I do not think the owner is the one who is cleaning it, but a cleaning service. Sadly, I feel the owner is being taken advantage of. (One example is the fridge had not been cleaned out in over 2 years, I threw away an entire trash bag of EXPIRED condiments, drinks, & food, just so we could fit all of our food) -There is random junk in all the closets, which make them unusable if you want to move luggage out of the way -The local TV barely works - Pictures ARE NOT UP TO DATE!!! The house looks completely different - Grill does not work and is disgusting (we had to purchase a tailgating grill just to prepare a planned meal based on the fact this place had a working grill) -Beds are VERY VERY firm... if you like a firm bed, then this will be a Pro for you -Non working Dishwasher (I understand this is no longer considered an amenity, but when I booked in Feb it was) -Despite the pictures, there is no toaster oven (we had 4 kids under 5 so a toaster oven is great for a quick lunch, and we were disappointed) -Light bulbs out in two rooms (including the Master, which obviously was not replaced after the last review) -There are no patio tables to have dinner outside, just chairs. There is no place to relax and entertain outdoors like stated in the listing -Under the house is dirty and cluttered, the bed is just a mattress and there is no table or chairs -There are holes in the Master Bath door

A Perfect Getaway
This rental exceeded our expectations! The location was serene, the interior design was tasteful, and everything was spotlessly clean. The kitchen had modern appliances, and the beds were incredibly comfortable. The outdoor space was a highlight, offering a private patio perfect for relaxing and watching the sunset. Communication with the owner was excellent. We highly recommend this rental for a memorable vacation.

Wonderful vacation
This property was perfect for our little family get-away! The house is in the perfect location, close to everything and the beach across the road is better than the public beaches. Mrs. Davis responded to messages quickly and was super kind and wonderful! I definitely recommend staying here. We cannot wait to come back.

Beautiful Home
My family and I stayed in this beautiful home for 5 days and it felt very homee. It had a lot of space and sleeping area and the couch was very comfortable. The views are beautiful! Davis Cove
This place was cute, clean, and within walking distance of the beach. The host graciously left brochures for things around the island. Word to the wise, for my coffee drinkers, bring your own. There is only one coffee shop, and it’s closed most of the week.

Short walk to the beach which is beautiful. The house does move a bit when other people are walking around. For most people it wouldn't be a problem, but if you're sensitive to motion, you just need to be aware of it.

We had a very nice stay at this house definitely less than 7 minutes to walk to beach, would definitely stay again. Owner was very easy to get ahold of if needed and was very polite. The stretch of beach that it is closest to is the best on dauphin island
