Needs some updating.
Holiday Isles is a decent property and we liked the pools and ease of parking in front of the unit. We like the proximity to restaurants. One important thing to note is that the boardwalk to the beach is much shorter than those of nearby properties which makes the walk pretty tough, and the beach in that section has a large channel of brown water that blocks direct gulf access. We ended up driving to the west end public access on our second day because it’s nicer and less of a trudge to get to the beach.
The unit itself was comfortable enough and the kitchen was big. However, it needs some updating and repairs. The bathrooms were not properly cleaned. There was mildew in the primary shower and dirt and hair in the other shower. The caulk around edges of the other shower was also a mess and the curtain liner was far too long and dirty. Also, the towels were completely threadbare. The balcony outlet did not work, and the fan in the bedroom with the twin beds was also extremely squeaky which made it difficult to sleep since that room didn’t cool as well as the others. Many of these are easy fixes that would cost very little but make the stay much more pleasant!
