- Please note that it is necessary to take a ferry to Daufuskie Island and the cost of boat and ground transportation is around $90 per person roundtrip, with discounts available for children 5 and under. (Parking fees may apply.) Let us help you with these details.

Friends Retreat guests are provided access to amenities: pool, gym, courts (volleyball, pickleball,etc.)

The Friends retreat is perfectly situated oceanfront with beautiful sunrise views across the Atlantic. 2 Bedrooms both with private baths, private balcony and King Beds. This cottage is ideal for those craving respite from the hustle & bustle of the mainland. Enjoy the ocean just steps from your porch and dine in or alfresco while soaking up the ocean views and breezes. Relax and let the world slip away......

The interior of the cottage is open and spacious living/dining/kitchen area that is great for family and friend time. The cottage includes flat screen TVs and WIFI is Free during your stay. The kitchen is fully equipped with full size stainless steel appliances, garbage disposal, dishwasher, and a stocked Coffee/Tea Bar, making meal preparation easy for you and your family throughout your stay - even Holidays!

A laundry room with full size washer and dryer is also available to make island life more convenient and comfortable.

A golf cart is also included with your booking. Information for reserving additional carts will be provided at booking GAS CARTS ARE STRICTLY PROHIBITED AT ALL JONBIE COTTAGES & VILLAS and Carts are NOT to be used for hauling luggage, groceries, coolers, etc.

Information on transportation to and from the island along with getting groceries and activities will be provided with your rental.

We had a great weekend. The property was perfect and it was beachfront, great amenities. Comfortable beds. Included a nice golf cart to get around the island. It was fun exploring all of the cool businesses that are being run on the island. Very chill Vibe.

Serene getaway
This property along with Daufuskie Island is a great location to decompress. This listing was perfect. Steps from the water, amenities to have fun outside, beautiful sunrises, great screened in porch to feel the warm breeze but being protected from direct sun and other elements. Very responsive hosts prior to arrival and with questions during stay. Highly recommend.

I can’t say this enough… the property is fantastic! From cleanliness to comfort to views and on and in this was an amazing getaway for us! Tammy and Kurt (owners) made sure we had everything we needed they are amazing! We will be staying at this property again in the very near future! This cottage was super cute!! It’s adorable!!

Amazing views and friendly host
Overall our get away was an awesome experience. Very peaceful island with friendly local people. The views are amazing and the private beach setting is a win. If your staying for a longer period of time with a large group be sure to plan ahead for groceries. Kurt and Tammy were awesome host and went out of their way to make sure our experience was awesome. Highly recommend!

The property was everything we expected and more. The owner met us for a walk-through on arrival, which I've never had happen before. The available golf cart was a truly great amenity, since there is really nothing within walking distance. Beautiful weather nearly every day, at a beautiful place!

Daufuskie Island was a great adventure. It was so unique and relaxing. Our hosts were very friendly and helpful! The home was super nice and very well stocked with starter items. The view was beautiful! We had fun exploring the Island and learning about its history on the golf cart and bikes. A wonderful experience!

Our stay was perfect. Our host met us and showed us the house and features. He made us feel welcome and comfortable. This was our first visit to the island and he had great information. Thee house was spotless and well appointed. The beds were comfortable. The island is quiet and all we heard was the ocean just a few yards away. We highly recommend!

Perfect Getaway from it all!
The view is everything, but this home delivers on every thing you could possibly want or need to enjoy a peaceful and relaxing vacation. The cottage is well stocked with all of the amenities you would expect at home. Kurt and Tammy are wonderful hosts that are very resourceful and knowledgeable to guide you on your adventures. If I could give more than 5 stars I would.

The apartment / house is beautiful. Custom linens and attractive art work. The view was perfect.
Really pretty place, custom linens, attractive art work; looked newly redone with stainless steel appliances . Right on the water with an unobstructed view of sunrises and the full moon the time we were there. Plan on eating at home. The restaurants are limited and open only on certain days. There are folks who cook and bring to your place. The one we tried was excellent. The island is worth driving, walking or bike riding about to explore, but this definitely a laid back vacation area.

Great rental
Everything was awesone!! Very beautifully decorated and furnished. Anything you would want was there. Very spacious. Wide doors and furnished with all the necessities. Kitchen had every tool imagjnable. I am disabled...unable to walk without a rollator, but had no problems moving around the house. Shower was huge, so i did have to take my rollator in the shower so i could safely wash mh hair as there are no handicapped bars. Also, i nrought a commode riser which made the commode work for me. The beautiful sun glistening on the water was a gorgeous view out the back door. Golf cart was a very nice way to get around the island.
