"This is a very tired hotel in urgent need of a major refurbishment and staffing levels seem inadequate resulting in delays, breakfast can take up to an hour to complete In our 4 night stay our bedding was not changed and our room was dusty and at the top of 7 flights of stairs overlooking a shabby fire escape with a tangled hosepipe left there to trip us up if we needed to escape that way"

"Good position in Dartmouth. Very helpful lady from Falmouth on the Bar but not enough staff at breakfast. May be noisy in the summer but very convenient for town, restaurants and shops. Good to see they have Jazz entertainment on occasions."

"Overall the cottage is very nice and we had a comfortable stay. The cottage is in a good location to tour the South Hams and is peaceful and quiet. We felt some of the facilities were a bit outdated and tired, with a few upgrades to the details like fresh new crockery, a decent sharp knife, coffee machine and music player upgraded to the 21st century it would be a bit more wow for a 5 star from us."
