The Homestead is a spacious and family-friendly holiday retreat, just 90 minutes from Brisbane and the Gold Coast. Nestled in the delightful Lost World part of Scenic Rim QLD, it offers the perfect getaway for relaxation and nature immersion.

Privately positioned in the heart of a 500-acre property, the homestead is surrounded by captivating mountains and a meandering, invigorating river— all waiting to be explored by guests.

For more than 50 years, the property owners ran a dairy farm before transitioning to beef cattle farming and fodder cropping, which still continues in the surrounding paddocks today. Occasionally, guests have the opportunity to observe farm activities during their stay.

The homestead is conveniently located approximately 5 km from an entrance to Lamington National Park, offering fantastic opportunities for picnicking, rock-hopping, swimming, and exploring the natural beauty of the region.

Fantastic getaway for a break
Perfect for what we wanted - which was being able to enjoy time together with friends in a great location and property. We enjoyed the pool and walks. Well appointed and comfortable accommodation with lots of great little areas for relaxing.

Eighteen Mile Homestead had everything we needed for a short trip away with friends and children. The place is spacious and clean. The kids loved the ping pong table and pool, as well as the games and books. The kitchen is well stocked with everything needed for self catering for groups. Thanks for a great stay.

We were a group of 10 adults and we had a lovely time on this spacious property. The no internet was a welcome change however it might be a good idea to have someone with a Telstra service as most of us couldn't make calls

We were three families staying at Eighteen Mile and there was plenty of space for us all which was great. The kids loved the pool. The deck behind the pool was a great spot to sit and take in the beautiful country surroundings. The house had everything we needed and we will stay again.

Amazing house, beautiful location
We had a fabulous stay. The house was very spacious and well appointed. Loved the pool, ping pong table and deck. Bush walks, bonfires and swimming in a nearby creek were highlights.

18 Mile Homestead
A great stay for a family. Plenty of beds, spaces to relax and enjoy a game or the open fire. The outdoor facilities large deck, pool and fire pit catered for everyone. Everyone enjoyed paddling in the crystal clear creek. Everything you need if you love to cook and great hot showers. A great stay!

Perfect family getaway
We got the family together from around Australia. Our numbers kept changing and the property manager was very accommodating and understanding. We had a magical family gathering, made even better by the lack of reception! The family wants to come back!

Great house for a large family gathering
House was great, plenty of space, equipment, 6 bedrooms and the outside patio was superb. The pool was a great success with all the children and grandchildren. The open fire place and grass area between the house and the pool area was fantsatic for family cricket. The only suggestion was that perhaps the surrounding grass and shrubs etc could do with a little trimming.

Stunning and weel equipped
This is such a spacious property. As well one of the best equipped house you don't need to bring a thing because they have thought of everything, just bring food that's it. Communication is great with the host. My friends and I had an amazing weekend and we didn't want to leave. We most definitely will be back again. Thank you so much

Wonderful family weekend
We recently stayed at Eighteen Mile Homestead for a family member’s 50th birthday & Father’s Day combined weekend. The property is in a beautiful, peaceful location where we could watch the cattle & wallabies & listen to the local bird life. There was plenty of space for our group of 13. The home was very well equipped with everything you could possibly need. We spent lots of quality time together & also spent some individual time doing our own things (hiking to the top of the ridge, swimming, playing cricket, going for a bike ride). I would love to bring the family back another time.

Amazing stay for family fun
Our family of five has grown over the years, so that now we are a family of 12 adults and two children. (My eldest son's best friends and their little families are included). We have been taking the kids away nearly every Easter for about 15 years now, and have created so many wonderful memories. It's hard trying to find a house that accommodates all of us, and then one day we stumbled across this place. It was way better than we could imagine! There were enough bedrooms for everyone, three bathrooms, so many areas to relax and hang out. The kitchen was a great size, and had absolutely everything you could want and more! Everyone loved the pool, though it was a bit chilly at this time of the year. They still jumped in after going down and exploring the river and going for a bush walk. We hung around the fire pit every night, or when it rained, came in and hung out in the family room and played table tennis and board games. If you have a big group, don't hesitate to book this place, as you won't be disappointed. Everything is lovely and clean, the beds are comfy, and there's heaps of room for everyone to spread out and enjoy themselves. 💯 would stay here again!!

Beautiful scenic rim
We had our family Christmas weekend here at 18mile Homestead. It is sooooo good. It has everything ! The kids did not get out of the beautiful pool all weekend. We had a fire pit both nites even though the weather was very warm. So fun roasting marshmallows. A clean running creek was a great adventure for us all through the day. The house has everything too - you do not want for anything.

Darlington Visit
Eighteen Mile Homestead was a total home away from home. Spacious and comfortable with every convenience we could wish for. The beauty of the district, complete with all the country sounds of birds and cattle, plus no phones or internet, made it a wonderful retreat from the busy city.
