Check in was great, we (me and my hubby), were there for a wedding and they allowed us to check in two hours early as the room was ready, which was a great help to us, to get unpacked and finish getting ready before the ceremony. The staff were friendly, professional and polite. Our room(number1), was delightful, lovely muted green colour scheme, with a very comfortable king size bed resulting in a good nights sleep. There was a nice bathroom with a big shower, just the job! Also provided was an iron and ironing board. For some reason we didn't have a kettle in our room, although the cups and tea and coffee were there, so perhaps an oversite of the domestic staff? We reported it at check out and they made a note of it. We were disappointed not to be able to have our morning tea in our room, as we always do prior to breakfast, but it wasn't a major issue. We had a full 'Classic' cooked breakfast which was lovely, although my yolks on my fried eggs were hard, but then I am particularly fussy over that, ha. I didn't say anything about it though, but I'm sure they would have changed them if I"d asked. We also had two pots of Yorkshire tea, which we thoroughly enjoyed. All in all a fantastic stay and would highly recommend.
