This my second stay at The Airport Transit Lodges. I stay in Dar for a short amount of time each year before traveling to other regions in Tanzania. Wonderful experiences. Free and reliable transportation to/from the airport. No hassle! Friendly and easy check in with full information about the stay, hotel amenities, etc. Clean, nice room with working AC, fan, shower, Wi-Fi and TV. Nice breakfast included (eggs, hot beverages, cereals and pastries). Other meals are reasonably priced, fresh cooked and delicious. A nice variety. Best part of the stay is the staff is ALWAYS available and ready to help in any way possible. Luxury for me is not about the size of the room but if I feel welcome and cared for. This is my new home hotel in Dar.

So convenient to and from the airport. Not fancy but more than adequate for travelers looking for a good value and pleasant experience. I stayed extra days due to business in Dar before departure to Mbeya. Friendly and helpful staff. Shopping for essentials nearby as well as English language church on Sunday. I travel to TZ every year and I will stay at this Hotel from now on. Asante sana Transit Motel Suites!

Hotel was nice and in close proximity to airport. Airport transfer is offered too but I did not have a good experience with the driver who came to pick me up at the airport and communication with staff was not great. I was referred to 2 other people before reaching the actual driver who picked me up 1 hour later, after a long journey. It was very upsetting. There is a restaurant at the hotel but good took over an hour to be served even though we order simple food. Overall, I would recommend the hotel if in Dar es Salaam for a day while waiting for next flight due to very close proximity to airport but none more.

The hotel is very convenient for the airport and is a good option if you just want a bed for the night. Rooms are simple but clean. Staff were helpful with my luggage as there wasn’t an elevator. Free transport to and from the airport was excellent.
