Baxter Farmhouse in the Smokies

New Listing Where Your Mountain Dream Vacation Awaits !
Come for the views, stay for the tranquility and conveniences. Escape to your own private sanctuary in the heart of the Smoky Mountains. You may never want to leave and may even dream of returning every season, of the year, to the most fabulous views of English Mountain, in Smoky Mountain, Tennessee. This spectacular 3 bedroom home that sleeps 6, offers everything you need for a truly memorable vacation with your family and friends.
You will find jaw-dropping views of English Mountain and the farmlands at the base of English Mountain from the front deck and even from inside the cabin through the tri-windows in the great room and also from two of the three bedrooms. Bring your morning coffee outside, get comfy in one of the deck chairs as you watch the snow-white clouds, that appear as smoke, fall over the mountain tops. After a long day of exploring the Smokies grill up a delicious meal on the charcoal grill and then gather beneath the stars beside the crackling wood-burning fire pit.
From the great room’s very comfortable seating, you can awe at the mountain scenery. If you can tear away from the scenery, settle back and watch a movie on the flat-screen smart TV, surf the web via our complimentary Wi-Fi, choose a game to play inside or outside, or simply enjoy family time. How often do we get a chance to just relax and unwind? For some friendly competition, gather around the game table and challenge your loved ones to a game from a variety of board games or play cards.
Baxter’ s kitchen is fully equipped for must of your culinary efforts, whether they entail crafting a gourmet dinner, reheating leftovers from the previous night’s restaurant meal, preparing your own specialty pizza from one of the cookbooks or baking a cake or cookies with the family. Appliances, pots and pans, gadgets and tableware, you’ll find them all right here. That includes a dishwasher because scrubbing plates is no one’s idea of fun. If you reel in some trout from one of the nearby streams or some bass from Douglas Lake, you can cook it on the outdoor charcoal grill for a true Smoky Mountain feast.
Baxter’ s master bedroom is beautifully decorated and has a luxurious king bed and an in-suite bathroom for added privacy. Fall asleep watching your favorite late-night show on the flat-screen smart TV. Wake up to more views of English mountain and sunshine streaming through the window blinds. The room is so comfortable and inviting you might want to snuggle under the blankets till late morning. Go right ahead, the kids are on the other side of the house and you are on vacation, after all !
The second and third bedrooms, on the opposite side of the house have plush queen beds for a restful nights sleep. These make the perfect space for kids, grandparents or other couples. The rooms share a full bath nestled between them.
Regardless of how pampering the beds are, you will want to get out and about. There’s so much to see and do just minutes away. At the Great Smoky Mountain National Park, you can hike, bike and ride horses among the wildlife, wildflowers and waterfalls. At Douglas Lake you can fish, boat and swim. In Hartford there is river floating and white water rafting. In Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg there are so many attractions like Dollywood, Splash Mountain, The Aquarium, The Island, mini golf, zip lining, The Titanic …… and then there are so many dinner shows and other live entertainment options as well as a smorgasbord of restaurants.
Baxter is a perfect home base for a perfect weeklong vacation or just a long weekend getaway, whether your preferences run toward peace and privacy or being on the go.

Awesome fall colors
Nice farmhouse that is close to everything but far enough away from everything to have a peaceful time in nature. Everything was great. Only suggestions from my party was possibly upgrading the mattresses on the beds. Not terrible though just not as comfortable as the setting.

Lovely place
Just as it is described. Beautiful location that is peaceful and pretty. The house is very clean and has everything that you would need. It is far enough away from all the hustle and bustle yet close enough to everyplace you would want to go. The owners seem to be very nice and helpful. I can easily recommend this home for your family.

Loved the farm!
It is so peaceful there! They have thought of everything--had so many goodies in the kitchen that I've never come across before. Even pet food and water bowels for the dog!

Family Christmas trip
The house was perfect for our needs. Exactly as advertised. The Christmas decorations were fantastic! Everything was very well presented. The kitchen had almost everything we needed so we could prepare all of our meals at home. The owner was very responsive to text messages. It was a peaceful place out in farmland would definitely stay here again the only downside is the 20 to 25 minute drive to get to the city.

Peaceful and private
We enjoyed our 4 night stay. The home is secluded which offered us the tranquility we were looking for. To our surprise the home was decorated for the holidays and included a Christmas tree. This was great since celebrated Christmas here. The owner was very responsive

Clean home, secluded with a beautiful view
We enjoyed our stay at The Baxter Farmhouse. It was clean and quiet, well stocked, with comfortable beds and beautiful furniture. It appears to be a well-done remodel of an older home, which we loved. It was nice to be away from the crowds and also close enough to the lake and to Sevierville activities that everything still seemed convenient. We recommend this stay!

We loved our stay at Baxter Farmhouse. And the host we especially nice and very helpful
My husband and I rented this place and we didn’t want in the thick of things with traffic and all in the Sevierville area. This house is less than 30 mins from there and very easy to get to without the mountain roads. Baxter Farmhouse is exactly how it’s described and the pictures don’t do it justice. We were able to sit on the deck in the morning and just enjoy the peace and quiet and relax. I highly recommend this house for those wanting a quiet place to relax but close enough to all the attractions.
