If walls could talk
45+ years of friendship celebrated on Bass Lake retreat! So many comforts brought on so many belly laughs our ribs hurt. The nice home was very comfortable for our group. We especially loved the large kitchen and table to play cards/games and eat!!

Quiet get away in the Woods
The kitchen was well stocked with everything you need to cook and serve with. Coffee, tea, and a variety of seasonings were available. Glassware a plenty for all you cocktail and beverage needs. Being it's a newer VRBO I would check back to see if they add in blinds and window treatments. As a heads up there are no blinds anywhere in this East facing cabin. Especially uncomfortable in the bathroom with the soaking tub. The sun will shine directly into all the bedrooms at sunrise. If you are a morning person it will be an amazing view, if you prefer to sleep in I would bring an eye mask. In our history of renting through VRBO we have never paid a "Host fee" as high as this, (in addition to the above average "per night rate") so our expectations were probably higher. There was enough wood for an evening of fires. The outside pile was depleted. The hosts response was that we could be reimbursed for wood purchased in Danbury, but honestly we felt this was advertised as provided and expected everything turn key given the host fee. The host did partially credit us for our trouble and was very gracious to receive feedback, so this may just be learning curve as hosts.

Had a great experience staying here, only drawback is that they didn’t have garbage for us and we had to take our trash with us. Would’ve been nice if they had a temporary solution or provided trash receptacles.
