We ended up not staying here. Walked into construction in the main lobby adjacent to where breakfast is served. The area did have plastic covering the area, but dust was all over. Management assured us the work crew would clean it during the night so there wouldn't be construction dust all over the food area in the morning. Our biggest complaint is that they took a photocopy of my driver's license and said they were keeping it for (5) years! Apparently, they have had a number of challenged charges and were using it show the guests had stayed there. Keeping a photocopy of my driver's license (which I have never had to do anywhere before) for (5) years is not acceptable. They also showed my daughter and I actual forms with guest's information on it! Your personal information is not kept private.

For the price it is a good stay. Property has the basic middle class hotel smell. I will say the room was spacious , tub had jets and was actually great sized set up. It is old property but very put together. Actually was a last minute booking due to a cancelled flight. I actually liked the setting better than the ALoft property that I stayed for the actual trip(minus the old hotel smell). The front desk attendant, all I can say is you pay for what you get… Can’t expect chic fil a service on a McDonald’s budget. Property has a shuttle to the airport (very ghetto) …. Literally almost hit 2 vehicles in route to our terminal- he was a nice driver though.

Advertised for free shuttle to airport-I even called ahead of time to confirm and they confirmed, however when checking in they only had limited offer. My spouse and I checked in at 03:00 AM Thursday morning Sept. 26th, 2024. We were exhausted after a 12-hour drive from Panama City Florida, where we were supposed to be spending our honeymoon, but were asked to evacuate due to Hurricane Helene. We awoke a few hours later to find a musty smelling room with what appeared to be small spots of mold on the ceiling. I brought this to the attention of the staff and explained that I was experiencing an allergic reaction to the mold. I was offered a different room but noticed the same smell in this room and could not take a chance on the allergic reaction getting worse. I asked the manager to refund my remaining nights, but they refused. We had to book a different property and attempt to salvage what was left of our honeymoon. I’ve tried two times to get a refund through Expedia, but the owner of Comfort Suites DFW North/Grapevine refused both times. I would not recommend staying at this property.
