Welcome to our historic log cabin on the river! Nestled in the middle of the woods on the Chestatee River, this cabin is a wonderful place to make memories that will last a lifetime. Whether you prefer to snuggle up by the fire, splash around in the river, relax on the wrap around porch, explore Georgia wine country, or shop and dine in Dahlonega, we truly hope you enjoy your stay!

This is a historic log cabin that blends modern amenities with authentic rustic charm. The cabin sits on a rushing section of the Chestatee River in the heart of Georgia Mountain Wine Country. The historic Dahlonega square is just 20 minute drive.

The cabin has a total of 9 beds. The upstairs consists of a master loft with queen bed and a separated bedroom that has a king, 3 twins, and 2 bunk beds. There is an additional bed down stairs with a trundle. The cabin sleeps 6 comfortably, but can accommodate up to 8. It is great place for family getaways, wedding accommodations, trips to the many local wineries, or a quiet retreat.

We are situated directly on a rushing section of the Chestatee river perfect for fly fishing or tubing.

Exactly what was expected and needed!
We came with 2 teens who just graduated for a peaceful family getaway. The cabin was lovely with such character. The sounds of the river were instantly relaxing. We hiked to the river, went into town, read on the porch, played games together and grilled at night. We would love to stay again.

Beautiful property with an amazing history
This house is a true log cabin with an interesting history. Lots of room, a nicely stocked kitchen, plenty of towels, a wood burning stove and a long back porch that overlooks a rushing river with the best sound ever!

Great location, amazing porch. Rushing River sounds all day and all night was very peaceful. Kitchen well stocked and overall a good stay. Only negative was that the ‘third bedroom’ was actually just a trundle bed in the hallway - so no privacy at all …

Great place to stay!
The house itself was super nice and a great place to stay with a group of friends or family. The roads getting to the house were a little narrow and recommended driving very cautiously. The river access is super convenient and a blast to spend time fishing, playing, or just hanging out!

Adorable cabin on a property that forces you to relax!
There is nothing better than swinging on a porch listening to a river and that is exactly what you get with this property. The wood burning stove is perfection. The kitchen was well stocked and the beds very comfortable! The owners were responsive. We really enjoyed our stay for my dads’s 65th birthday weekend!

Awesomeness in a cabin on the Chestatee River
The trip was amazing! This cabin was second to none, sitting on the porch early morning hearing God's nature which includes the river. Plenty of space, great area inside or out to cook! Fun in the river and exploring! Close to town which has more fun and great food! Dahlonega is an amazing town. Next, great responsiveness by the hosts of the cabin and you can tell when you arrive they care and want you to have an awesome time. If you want a great family place this is it! We will be back yearly if not more... almost forgot deer galore...we saw deer every day! We definitely had a blessed stay!

Amazing Getaway!
Our entire family enjoyed themselves! Quiet and charming vibes. Authentic cabin experience! I would definitely rebook! Prepare to stay in and use property. Plenty of games, exploring and hiking to do. Tip: Drive in was somewhat treacherous so do so in light of day, but it added to the back woods feel.

Birthday Getaway
The cabin was perfectly located in between all of the festivities we wanted to do. The cabin itself was clean and cozy! Firewood was provided and we were so thankful! The sounds from the river were so amazing we even slept with the window open! Kitchen was fully stocked and had everything we needed. Host was super nice and available to answer any questions! We wish we would have had more time to just spend at the cabin. 10/10 recommend. We will definitely be back! (Be sure to download directions and door code before arrival! If you forget, the stump aT the end of the driveway gets service! 😀)

Beautiful cabin with a neat history, tucked away in the hills
The cabin is beautiful and we enjoyed the quiet. But it rained everyday. We had hoped to enjoy the river, the wonderful porches, and surrounding area but with the rain...no. The kitchen had enough kitchenware/dinnerware for a large family to cook a banquet. Plenty of room for everyone. Hosts were helpful with the TV signal which was spotty with the rain. Plenty of games and books to read for all interests. We had a large van and the driveway is a bit tight, but we made it. The path to the river was overgrown with grass and muddy with the rain. Highlight was walking the mile+ loop in the rain. A lot of wildlife was enjoying the rain too.

Tucked away gem!
We have stayed in a fair number of mountain cabins and this is one of our favorites to date. It has incredible amounts of charm and history. We enjoyed the location which is far enough to feel off the beaten path but a very short drive to a few of the vineyards and a 20 min drive to town. We also enjoyed “soundbathing” to the soothing rhythm of the chestatee river below us. If you want an authentic mountain cabin experience, this is the place for you. ( if you are interested in luxury linens, high end appliances, and other fancy things you may want to look elsewhere but you’d be missing out). This is also a great cabin for large families who aren’t used to tons of privacy as most of the sleeping quarters are in one large upstairs room.
