8,500 square foot home on 45 acres, overlooking a beautiful private lake, surrounded by the North Georgia mountains.

Located 1 hour north of Atlanta. This beautiful home sits in the middle of thousands acres of timber land and National Forests... you will have complete privacy. The 150 foot wrap around deck affords a view that must be seen to be appreciated.

The perfect setting for large groups of friends, family gatherings, or corporate getaways and the perfect backdrop for Elopements. The house, which has been recently updated, is conveniently divided in order to allow privacy among our guests. It sleeps 12 people in regular beds, plus there's a baby 's crib, and 4 standard sofa's for additional sleeping. There are two stairways leading to separate upstairs areas. The master suite is on the main floor along with an additional bedroom, the living room and beautiful dining room. The game room with pool table, ping pong table, card table, and pop-it basketball hoops are on the lower level and exits onto the pool deck. On the main level five separate exits lead to the wrap around deck which overlooks the pool to the side of the house and the lake and mountains to the rear. From this deck take either of the two stairways to the pool deck and enjoy the seven person hot tub, and the 20' x 40' salt water swimming pool with stone deck. Picnic tables, stools, lounge chairs and outdoor sound system make relaxing easy. A huge kitchen, surrounded by windows with a large dining table and a large stone fireplace serves as a great gathering place. All this makes it possible to spend time enjoying friends and family while still being able to find your own private space to read, relax, boat, swim, or watch movies and sports on TV.

There is a 'mother-in-law' suite on the lower level which can sleep 8-10 and has a living area, kitchenette and full bath.

If you want to do a little exploring by car there is plenty to see in the area. Ellijay, the apple capital of Georgia, is 25 minutes away. The entrance to Amicalola Falls State Park is less than a 10 minute drive. Hiking trails and horseback riding opportunities abound. Tubing and white water rafting is available, only minutes away. The historic town of Dahlonega is a 15 minute drive and there you will find many interesting shops and restaurants. The Chestatee Wildlife Preserve, home to tigers, bears, camels, monkeys and more, is located on Old Dahlonega Highway (SR 115) in Dahlonega. The Premium Outlet Malls are 20 minutes away in Dawsonville. The town of Helen is within an hour and has the charm of Bavaria, in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Where you can enjoy a waterpark, quaint shops and don't miss dining in authentic German restaurants.

But if you want to just spend time away from it all this is the place, sit on the deck overlooking the lake and watch the sun set behind the mountains, walk through the wooded trails or sit by the pool and cook on the grill. Minimum stay may be required.

Thanksgiving Memories
The house was plenty big enough for our family of 16. A railing up the front steps is needed. We had 2 seniors with walking problems and the steps are very dangerous.

Gorgeous House - Perfect for Our Large Group
This house was incredible! Simone, the host, was incredibly responsive and accommodating from pre-booking, booking, through the days leading up to the weekend, and during the trip. Her property was incredible, and we may be returning back next year. Thank you!

Beautiful property
The house was beautiful. It was just like the pictures, only suggestion is the property sits so far from the street and there isn’t enough lights around the property at night. Looks like your apart of a horror movie if you arrive at night.

Great weekend!!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Dahlonega house. So much so that we are planning to go back next year! Simone was attentive when required and made the stay so comfortable and easy. The house is extremely well-equipped. We did not want for anything during our stay.

Great Family Getaway
We were looking for a location to assemble our family group of 16. This was the perfect choice. There was plenty of room for all. All the cousins, ages 18 to 7, shared the upstairs bunk room and had fun reconnecting. The pool, lake and super game room added to the fun and friendly competition. Jacqueline, the property manager, was great.

Most Amazing Place
Taking our crew on annual trips mean we have experienced many different homes. This year was hands down the BEST! We couldn’t have picked a better place. This house has so much space that our group of 14 had their own area. (Important for teenagers) The game room was incredible and kept the crew entertained during a rainy day. The setting - wow! The pics do not do it justice! Total seclusion with the backdrop of mountains and private lake. Fishing and kayaking were huge hit. Most importantly for any stay- Jackie and Charles were amazing hosts!!!! She even thought of the grands leaving them a much appreciated surprise. Thanks you two - we will definitely be back!

Wonderful Family Getaway
We celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary by taking the entire family, including grandkids. (7 adults/12 kids and everyone had their bed) The game room was the big hit! Huge kitchen was huge with any tool you needed. The view of the the mountains was so pretty, especially when the sun came up with red sky. Just perfect for us. So. Much. Fun.

Football Reunion Getaway
16 men rented this property 9/10-12 2021. We were there to celebrate our friendship through our HS Football Team. There was plenty of room for everyone. The kitchen was great for the large meals that we served. The pool area was also great both day and night as a place to congregate. We were there to watch college football and there were plenty of TV's all around the house to follow multiple games. This property suited all of our needs and we will be back.

Beautiful Scenery but lacking in areas
The view was beautiful and the property manager was quick to communicate. We did have a bulldozer working 5 of the 6 days we were there interrupting our time outside. The pictures exercise room was non existent and most of the games in the game room did not work. The house was spacious for all our family and beds very comfortable. We had a great time but would need a lower price to book again.

Not happy with the shape of the house
The house was not in great condition. Multiple leaks throughout the house. Spiders and Spiderwebs everywhere inside and out. Smelled a little funky in areas like they had cats there. The game room was a mix of broken games and just really old equipment. Everything was broken or falling apart. Pool balls were a mix of 3 sets of pool balls you have to sort through to find the balls you need. The worst part about it is that they do not supply you with any sundries whatsoever. Hand soap? no shampoo? No. Nothing. Dishwasher detergent? Laundry detergent? No and no. They only leave you with one small roll of toilet paper. And one trash bag. You have to bring everything yourself or go get it from the nearest Walmart which is about 20 minutes away each way. I've been to dozens of vacation rentals and never had this experience. Then there is a hefty cleaning fee but you have to clean the dishes and put the towels to wash with your own laundry detergent. It does have a nice view but definitely needs a lot of TLC and updating. The pictures are a little misleading, in my opinion.

Jacqueline together with Charles are doing a massive work with their care and devotion- never saw like this in the past! they're here for you for whatever you need, whenever you need, and for what reason you need! if you have anytime a thought of "the lake house"- don't hesitate! just grab it! it's worth even to fly couple of hours. This place has it all!
We have a family reunion every year with about 25 ppl and have stayed in all kinds of rentals. With family from age 7 to 70 this location by far met our tricky criteria for a wide range of ages. The kids stayed busy swimming, fishing and playing in the game room while the adults watched on from the huge back deck while enjoying the Mountain View. There was ample space for everyone to do what they wanted and be comfortable. Not only that but we were lucky enough to be the first guests of the new property managers. Jacqueline and her husband were so responsive and made us feel well taken care of! They were extremely accommodating and obviously wanted to provide nothing but the best vacation for us. It’s hard to find the perfect house for our group so we will be back again I am sure and can’t wait to see all the additional upgrades they make to this property by then!

Disappointed
The property was in a great location out in the country on a lake for a family reunion, but very disappointed with having to deal with the constant problem of ants, fruit flies and houseflies in the kitchen. The master bedroom was missing window coverings, so had concerns for privacy. The outside of the house needed alot of maintenance, as the property was run down and overgrown with weeds - the back deck had many rotten steps, handrails, and broken deck gates, causing safety concerns for the very young and elderly family members.

Deferred Maintenance
We were very disappointed in the overall condition of the house. There are too many items that need repaired to list. We did contact Edwin to fix the railing on the deck and he respond quickly and did a quick fix. The grass had not been cut and was finally cut on Wednesday and Thursday. The home has a unbelievable location and view but its a shame the owners are not putting money back into the property

Absolutely Wonderful and Beautiful
My fiance and I were getting married at a near by venue in Dahlonega and rented this property for us and our wedding party to stay in for the weekend. This property was so beautiful and amazing. Check-in process was easy. I cannot stress enough just how fabulous this house is. With 15 people trying to get ready for a wedding no one had to wait on showers or bathrooms. Tons of towels, blankets, and pillows. There was not one spot in the house that was lacking anything and anywhere you went in the house had an amazing view. After the wedding was over it was so nice to be able to sit and soak in all the nature and mountain views. The game room was awesome. Everyone loved being able to use the poker table, billards table, and foosball. The hot tub with the mountain view had to be my favorite. We had planned on going to the Gold Rush Festival in downtown Dahlonega the day after the wedding and had reservations at a nice restaurant. However, we all decided to just stay at the property and grill out because no one wanted to leave! Jacqueline was so friendly and anytime we needed anything she was so quick to respond. Even helped us find a near by place that sold fire wood so we didn't have to drive too far. Never had a property contact for a VRBO that was so helpful. I felt so lucky to have found this property it made my wedding weekend like a fairytale.

Had a wonderful Valentine...
Had a wonderful Valentines Weekend at this outstanding resort home. We have been using VRBO for the past 4 years for all our vacation rentals. We have vacationed in the U.S. with VRBO as well as in London and Amsterdam and I can truly say this is the best one we have found yet. It was truly a jewel for North Georgia. The home is very private and has the most breathtaking views, waking up to snow covered mountains and ducks swimming on your own private lake. We saw wild turkey, deer and a pet goat on the property, our dogs were in heaven. The game room downstairs will keep you and your children occupied for hours. The location is a pleasant surprise, we visited the Kangaroo Conservatory, (,book tickets on line and just go) , the Funky chicken art shop (only 10 min. away, got some great stuff here, the owner has peacocks roaming about in the shop) and the town of Dahlonega ( name means yellow gold,) is a quaint artsy like place with good restaurants and shops and was home to the first gold rush. The Crimson Moon resturant was especially tasty and has live entertainment. We had such a wonderful time that we have already booked this house again in the summer so we can enjoy the pool, that by the way has a surround sound system to die for. The hot tub was soothing and we enjoyed listening to music on that outdoor sound system, classic rock never sounded so good. Be prepared the hot tube also has a light show a glass of wine works well here. You will not be disappointed.Thank you Edwin for answering all our questions and coming over to check on us. This place is truly a slice of Georgia Heaven. The Tony and Rose Anderson Family
