"We had great stay in this place. It is nice and cosy. A good breakaway and get close to nature. Love to see all the Kangaroo and Emu. The jacuzzi is an extra bonus. If the host can just let us turn on the heater freely for the bathroom instead of using the timer, it will be way much better. We have no clue of when it will be on and off. "

"We enjoyed our stay at the Kookaburra Cottage immensely. The biggest drawcard was probably the location, short walk to the town centre yet quiet and we still got to enjoy the wildlife experience with Kookaburras, kangaroos, and an echidna around the corner! The indoor fireplace and outdoor fire pit was enjoyed by the family. The heating in the cottage was very adequate which made for a cosy and comfortable stay. "An attractive house, it was clean and pleasant. there were a few minor niggles though, the lock on the front door didnt work. the woodshed was locked, its the middle of winter... we were there for a week there were no garbage bags, 3 dishwashing tablets, insufficenet toilet paper. More care needs to be taken to brief the cleaners so they know how ling 6 adults are staying for...."

"We love the unit which backs onto the reserve at the back. The view is lovely of kangaroos and emus from the back windows. The nice big dining table is good for playing games on. The only problem is the parking as we had to reverse in our cars because our unit is the back unit and the back car port is shared. If the front unit has its own car port in front then the parking problem would be solved."

"Lovely cabin, looked a little dated as all we could book at late notice was the economy option but everything worked as it should. Great location in the centre of Halls Gap with the canyon walls as a backdrop. So easy to reach restaurants & bars. Climbs through the rocks of varying difficulties. Facilities clean and plenty of wildlife to watch. We will come back."
