"The location is excellent. The bed was super soft. The only issue was the heater, which didn't seem to be working. We called reception, but no one picked up the phone. It was the end of the year so we were expected to find a few staff. But over all it was good."

"I arrived late and the guy rang to confirm that all was ok. Limited parking but the guy on reception told me where to go. Bathroom was not just clean but shining! Breakfast buffet was good. Overall, the place was quiet and comfortable. "

"We have stayed here several times over the last few years as it is very convenient for us travelling between the UK and Southern France. Last year we thought it was looking a bit 'tired' but pleasantly surprised this week to see it has had a refurbishment so all looking new and fresh again with better facilities. Would have liked a toaster in the breakfast room though."

"Perfectly situated in the centre of Fontainebleau and opposite the chateau. Napoleon underground car park right opposite but be aware that your vehicle must be under 1.85m so not possible for us. This should be made clear on the hotel details as it’s difficult to reverse onto main road. Foyer and bar are really stylish if a little cold with a drain type smell on the way to the lifts. "We were 6 in the property- grandparents, parents and children. The property was furnished to a good standard (all bedrooms are doubles but our boys shared a bed). Kitchen very well stocked. WiFi was set up with plenty of routers but didn’t work while we were there and didn’t get fixed. Pool was heated (a massive bonus) and I would guess about 8x4m in size. Supermarkets 10 mins away by car - all open Sunday mornings."

"Wow! Our group loved Helene’s place. The town is 1 hour train from Paris and you can get a taxi to the house although don’t rely on Uber/bolt. The pool area is wonderful and the grounds of the house have a lot to offer. The bedrooms are large and quite a lot of them have ensuites. The second house is attached to the main house and offers a quieter space for those that want it. The only issue our group found was some struggled to sleep because the house only has windows to cool down at night...
