We came down from Pittsburgh PA to visit two of our grown children for 4 nights. Host was super sweet and communication was wonderful! Having a full kitchen was super helpful so we could eat at home. On street parking in the cul-de-sac was tricky but we made it work. Be prepared to possibly park on a different street to walk over. Quiet neighborhood. Comfortable and warm sleeping. Owners live upstairs and were available for any needs that came up. Looking forward to returning when we come visit again!

No frills but comfortable
The pros are that the host is communicative and it was an easy stay. I needed a place to crash while visiting family, and I was glad to find a place last minute. The host responded promptly to my messages and was gracious about my late night arrival. I found it easy to fall asleep in the bed. I also appreciated being provided snacks!
The cons are that it isn’t the most convenient. I street parked and walked around on grass to the entrance, which wouldn’t have been fun if it were raining. I also wish there was a towel rack I could use. (There was one blocked by a toilet hutch)
The listing is fairly priced, and I would be happy to stay here again.

The apartment itself was spacious and clean. We arrived after dark. We could not see the address on the house because no lights were on the front porch or in any window. The steps going down to basement apartment were not lighted because the switch inside the apartment was turned off. These problems can be solved by simply turning lights on for people arriving after dark.
Clean and comfortable stay in Culpeper! I had a long term stay and Jennifer was amazing to communicate with and was very accommodating. Would recommend this place to anyone staying near town.
My husband spent a month here while he was working before we moved out of state. The people that live in the house are up extremely early, approximately 4:10am, just about every day. It woke him up every time. There was a sewer odor coming from the kitchen sink that was pretty strong. Each weekend he was there (with the exception of the first) he left because of these issues. He also left 4 days early and stayed in a hotel just so he could get some sleep.
As far as the parking, there really isn't any. It's all on-street parking and when you get back every day depends on how far away you park.
The owners were nice and when he asked for a new shower curtain liner one was provided immediately.
The space was adequate but it wasn't a place he would have been able to stay in long-term.
We just spent one night and we were satisfied. My husband and I had a private room with a small window (which was a little sad) and our friend said the couch was perfect.
Probably not a comfortable fit for us for more than one night, but our hosts were kind and thoughtful and met our needs.
Would recommend this place.
