It was self check-in and out, but we didn't have any issues with that. Room was a little musty and the water system was loud while showering, using the sink, or flushing the toilet. Narrow circular stairwells to top floors may be challenging for some, but rooms on lower floors I presume could be requested. Attached bar is nice. We did not dine at the restaurant. "

"This was the best little hotel we stayed in while traveling through Scotland. I was skeptical based on reviews. But it was an efficient hotel. No frills, not fancy, older hotel. Could it use a renovation? Yes. Did it bother us? No!! It was clean. Restaurant was traditional. The staff was super sweet and treated us like family. Very understanding when the Texan had no clue how to turn on a radiator! 😂. We would stay here again in a heartbeat! The experience was worth more than fancy furnishings and glitz. We highly recommend!"
