"If you want seclusion away from the hustle and bustle, this is the place. Away from the main road, but with access to great lookouts and hiking paths! The property is a bit old but the staff care for it how they can. Expect waning luxury, but clean and livable rooms. It gets cold in the winter so bring some fluffy PJs. Staff is helpful and pleasant. Sometimes the jabalí show up--one was there during dinner. "

"I can't deny the room is ok but half of the lights don't function. Reception is another story !! He's good guy but doesn't speak English!!! Its basically restaurant with some rooms upstairs! This place is in the middle of nowhere .. not my choice back"

"A beautiful hotel in a stunning location. The service from staff has been exemplary, with particular regard for David (in the restaurant) and Sequoia (uncertain spelling, on reception). They, and others have been great advisers to first-time visitors. Other staff were excellent in minor interactions. "Firstly, the breakfast pastries are some of the best pastries I’ve had in my life. (And trust me when I say I’ve had many pastries before today) crisp on the outside, feather soft on the inside. "Alora is a bustling little town nestled on a hill and the room I had overlooked the old Moorish fort on the adjoining hill. Beautiful ! The hotel was basic but spotlessly clean and the owners Paco and Monica were lovely. And great value for the single traveller "

We did pay for a parking space that didn't exist (it was full and we had to squeeze the Aygo in a bike space most nights) which wasn't ideal. "This is a beautiful traditional style home in the Andalusian hills. We had a perfect relaxing escape. It was the height of summer, but the numerous terraces afforded plenty os hade, and the saline pool much needed refreshment. It is also a great base to explore Granada (easy 1 hr drive). Kimberley, the housekeeper was excellent - always on hand to answer any queries!"

Clean, Convenient, Quiet and Welcoming Hotel

"Very quiet, comfortable, clean and welcoming hotel with free parking on site. I stayed two nights with my small Emotional Support Animal and we were both enthusiastically welcomed. The room was clean and shower toiletries were provided and two bottles of water daily. The hotel has a convenient restaurant with a varied menus for meals, and a coffee bar for alcoholic beverages and coffees and teas and sodas. There is a MacDonalds next door should you wish to access. It is located in an industrial area outside of Antequera within a short driving distance to burials grounds and to free public parking at the base of Antequera. The parking lot is gravel but within easy walking distance to all Antequera’s attractions. Recommend parking and walking around as town has narrow streets and turning corners with larger vehicles may be difficult. It is also about a 13km drive to El Torcal de Antequera. I would stay at this hotel again when visiting Antequera "

"20 min easy walk to town. Hotel rooms clean and spacious and good value for money. (beds a bit too firm for us!!) Due to new legislation for booking in, ( passport details, email etc)it took a while as chap at reception didn't speak English and my Spanish is poor( thank you google translate!)we got there in the end. Restaurant, cafeteria next to hotel, good food , excellent coffee, excellent staff."

"Beautiful property nestled in an Olive farm surrounded by mountains. I loved that it was mostly quiet. Can get a little loud in the morning if your room is in the reception building. You get a 30-45mins access to their Spa room."
