Waterfront Nature Coast Gem! Catch Dinner From Your Dock!
Kayakers Paradise! Experience old Florida in this simplistic 2 bedroom, 1 bath waterfront home! Master bedroom features a queen bed. The second bedroom features a full bed. The Living Room has two futons available if needed for extra guests. Both bedrooms have TV's with Firesticks. Comfortable living room and fully equipped kitchen with dual purpose convection oven/microwave, electric oven/range, dishwasher, coffee maker, refrigerator and sink.
Wake up to the gorgeous sunrises. Enjoy your coffee while bird watching on the screened in patio. Head to The Outpost for the best breakfast in town and to grab beers for a day on the water. Spend the day fishing off the dock or tie your shallow draft boat to your private dock and head out to enjoy some of the best fishing and scalloping in Florida (Ozello is mostly shallow water so we recommend flats boats or jon boats to navigate the waters.) Clean your catch on the dock cleaning station and cook dinner on the included grill or head to some of the local haunts. Backwater Fins and Peck’s are the perfect distance for a sunset cocktail cruise on your boat. This is REAL Florida living. Bring your bug spray and a GPS and have an adventure! 3 kayaks are included in your stay!

We all enjoyed the location & nearby restaurants. The space was comfortable and clean. The washer/dryer combo was a nice bonus, as well as the filtered water pitcher. The short drive down to the end of Ozello Rd going west was also beautiful & peaceful. We saw a manatee swim by. We’d love to visit again!
This was a great place for our family of 3 to get away and visit the area for a few days. We enjoyed being on the property and watching the sunrise and sunset each day. We didn’t mind the drive from Crystal River or Homosassa. Both Peck’s and Backwater Fins were great places to eat and they were extremely close. Overall, it was exactly what we were looking for.
This place was wonderful! Clean little cabin. We stayed outside most of the time. The dock to the water is just steps away and we spent 80% of our time out there! Even with the low tide, there was plenty of water to fish. Ozello itself was amazing! The bugs weren’t horrible, but we live in old Florida so are used to them. I’d definitely stay here again!
Great location. Rest and relaxation. Fishing opportunities nearby as well as restaurants.
Water front view by dock. Very shallow, encased completely with green algae. Too shallow for fishing. Did not see any fish other than 2 mullet eating the algae. March 9-10.
The property was very nice. It ias just like a small fish camp, nothing bad, just dont expect the Ritz.
However, everything was very clean aand ready to use. Including some fishing poles and bug spray (we alraedy had some and I highly advise you bring some too.)
The dock was great for fishing and cathing bait fish to go out to the causeway with. Not a lot of big fish near the property but did see a few feeding along the grasslines.
Inside the house it was very quiet, could hardly hear the road at all. The gravel drive was great, plenty of room to turn around or back in.
WIFI & phone reception were very good.
Getting to property very easy and once you are there dosent feel like you are near anything.
Would stay again
Ozello is old Florida. It’s a great spot for nature lovers, birders, anglers. The host provided a detailed guest packet that gave us opportunities to explore. Great locals restaurant, the Island Outpost, within walking distance. We enjoyed a day with charter captain Aaron Hefty, with productive fishing, viewing manatees, and learning some of the rich history of the area.
The cabin was recently renovated. New appliances. Large screen porch and dock would be great in better weather. While you don’t come to Ozello to watch TV, the house was well equipped with WiFi and TVs. We had one small issue with WiFi when we arrived and the host was very quick to resolve our problem.
This property is in the Ozello Flats for prime shallow water fishing. This is NOT a place for entertaining children (unless they birdwatch or fish). That being said, it had everything we were looking for plus a great location away from most tourists and busy Crystal River/Homosassa areas. Screened in back porch area was excellent since bugs out in this area are vicious at sunrise and sunset especially. Private dock and boats were a bonus, plus fire pit and grill. Trailer home is petite but fit our family of 4 just fine. We don't need much since we are avid outdoor enthusiasts but I was pleased w/ the comfort of the bed and amenities like WiFi & TV. If you you fish, this is an upscale base camp to enjoy.
