Overall, the stay was pleasant, however the lack of cleanliness of the property was disappointing. It really needs a good overall clean as it was grotty. We also had to clean crockery and glassware before using. The BBQ had not been cleaned, we cleaned it before and after using, so is in a good state now. The bathrooms were in good condition and clean. We would come back but would expect a proper clean (vacuum, dusting, wipe down of general areas and fans).

The views were spectacular and there was enough room for us to spread out and have own space if wanted. Furniture inside and outside was comfortable and clean. Beds were comfortable with ample blankets.We were disappointed with a couple of things. The BBQ was in a filthy state and we weren’t able to use it. The house lights tripped twice and we had no lights until someone got back to us and told us about the internal meter box. We also thought the kitchen was poorly equipped with what we would consider basic kitchen requirements. There were no garbage bags for the bin, no detergent under the sink, no gladwrap or paper towel. Other rentals over the years have always provided these staples. Had to make a dash back into Harrington to stock up on these things.Other than that we enjoyed our stay and made some lovely family memories.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house was clean but the toilet seat down stairs was broken and when we were there a few years ago it was broken then also. There were ants in the kitchen and we had to be careful where we left any food plus there were 6 down lights in the kitchen and none of them were working. Hard to prepare food in the dark. The house also needs a bbq. When people are on holidays they don’t want to be cooking in the kitchen all the time so a bbq would be great. There is an old bbq there but no one would want to cook on that. When you pay a fair price to stay for a week I think a few of those things should be rectified. Thanks

Reviewer Comments: Great overall but the place needs an occasional deep clean, eg outdoor areas were not all clean, windows get a lot of salt spray and need cleaning. Also the garage door is vert squeaky and we were afraid it would seize up. Needs maintenance. There are also a lot of the owner's old possessions throughout that have no value and should be cleaned out, especially in the garage. The BBQ is so old it is not usable.
