"Great place to stay in Cherokee Sound in Abaco. Excellent location in a great small community. Rental has everything you need for your stay. Well maintained and clean. Danette was very helpful and responded quickly to any questions we had. Location is beautiful with the beach and Long Dock a minutes walk away. People were very nice and welcoming. From fresh tomatoes and bananas from the neighbor it was a great stay. With the Cherokee Food Fair and Bakery right there you can be self sufficient. Groceries to meals everything was great and the deserts were fantastic. Highly recommend this location for your stay. Don't hesitate to stay here."

"We’ve been to Sand Dollar 5 previous times but we won’t be back. The location is excellent but this property should be removed from VRBO (and others) until serious upgrading and new property management. (We found out that the owner isn’t well and probably won’t return to the island). The “caretaker” was away when we arrived and apparently didn’t know it was rented. The gas was off! Unkempt, dirty, rodent droppings; appliances, fixtures, utensils all lacking and/or in bad repair (no hot water in bathroom sink, shower head corroded).Caretakers indifferent. Grounds and amenities neglected. Really a shame. Bill H & Karen B."

"The photos of this property really don't do it justice. Amazing house, where the owner has really thought and anticipated all guests needs, with high quality furnishings, and amenities. The view is just glorious, and the beach was superb. Easy to get to from the airport, and easy to get to local attractions like cherokee sound, petes pub and the neem farm. Michelle was a fantastic host, incredibly responsive and helpful. Will definitely return on our next Abaco adventure"

"We had a great holiday week over Christmas! We have visited several other islands in the Bahamas and every one is unique! The cool thing about this island is the abundance of sea life!This house is situated with the mangroves on one side and the ocean on the other. Right out the back doors we saw an ABUNDANCE of conch, sea turtles, sting rays, a barracuda, TON of star fish, a small nurse shark, pin fish, puffer fish, an octopus and bonefish!The house was spacious enough for the six of us to spread out and gather when we were entertaining. The boat that you can rent is a MUST DO! We had the time of our life on it and the experiences and memories we made will be cherished. "
