Liked: Cleanliness, amenities, property conditions & facilities, communication
The overall experience was a blast. Very secluded. Lots of room to play yard games and a very cool rustic decor inside to boot! Highly recommend to anyone that enjoys outdoors to abuse this beaut!
The property was clean and very accommodating. The only negative I would say is that we were unable to fish off the dock. There were boats and pontoons tied up to it the entire 3 days. The dirt road off the highway to the property (1.8 miles) had several HUGE holes filled with water that made it very difficult to go around.
Our whole family enjoyed our stay in the cabin as it was really close to beautiful lakes and the Cuyuna Trails!! The dirt road is long But we found the cabin easily by looking for the blue numbers at the end of the driveway! A couple improvements could have been made such as the dryer did not work and we could not find firewood to burn at night but I am sure the owners could have helped us with that. We were ok with going inside for the night so we did not bother them!
The air conditioning felt nice inside!!
Our kids loved it!
Little bit of a drive on a dirt road to get out there but very private space, additional shop space to hang out in if the weather is bad. Lots of cooking and cleaning supplies available. I would not call it a lake cabin more of a hunting cabin but that was fine for us. Overall great time.
Everything was great. They had everything you needed plus more. Area was great!! The only issues we had were minor the shower/bathtub faucet was missing so they had a pliers to turn it on ( no big deal), oven also was not working a 100%. It warmed but it took almost an hour to bake something that should have been done in 30 minutes and it still wasn’t done after an hour. Also the keypad for the lock didn’t always work properly. The refrigerator was clean but had a bad smell maybe it was from the people before us and there wasn’t enough time to air out. We would definitely go back because we all enjoyed it. It’s very spacious and worth the money even with the little issue we had. They are an easy fixes. You won’t regret renting this cabin.
Great place to stay with awesome views & great place to spend with friends.

Liked: Location, listing accuracy
Disliked: Check-in, communication
Horrible Communication, Good Location
Biggest Pros: great location, secluded and quiet, adequately slept all 12 of us.
Biggest Cons: Racially insensitive undertones in decor, horrible communication from host, interior smelled of septic tank when we arrived as it obviously hadn't been used.
We had a group of 8 youth, and 3 adults for our stay. It worked well to split into 2 groups with an adult sleeping on a sofa in the middle room. There was plenty of space for board games and visiting, and still places to go if you needed to get away from the group.
The "private" lake with paddleboards/kayak was a great bonus! Everyone enjoyed the water fun!
There was a funky smell when you entered the house, and one bathroom among 11 people is challenging. Some of the kids were put-off by all of the animal hides/heads in the cabin.
Communication could have been better. Cell service was fair, and I'm glad it did work because I had to message to get info. on how to enter, what ammenities were available to us, and if we could use/buy forewood for a campfire.
All and all, a very nice place to stay!
Loved the layout of the property — it had lots of room for our teens to spread out and have their separate space. The lake was beautiful and access to the paddle boards and a kayak were a big bonus. Getting to the property was a bit treacherous on the dirt road with lots of pot holes. Also, the house was not as clean as I expected based on reviews and additional TLC was needed since large groups tend to occupy the space. Communication with the host was outstanding.
Rented this property to celebrate my mom's retirement with my family. 11 of us, three kids, and 8 adults. Slept all of us pretty comfortably. Access to lakes nearby, and mountain bike trails.
Great place to enjoy with company in tow. The kids had a great time. The use of the garage was an A+! Enjoyed every moment spent there. Melisa was very responsive and also granted us an earlier check in. Would definitly reccomend.
A group of friends got together to celebrate a 30th birthday and we were all amazed by this property! It is very isolated, so you do not have to worry about disturbing any neighbors, and the inside of the cabin was a lot larger than we thought it was going to be based on the photos. The lake/shared dock may have been the highlight as we stayed down there all day! There were kayaks and paddle boards for us to use, and the lake is crystal clear and very deep. You can see down to 20+ feet right off the dock! Everyone was saying that this trip was a highlight of the summer!
The place was very clean and spacious for me and my large group of friends. There was enough beds for us and lots of space outside for when we had a bonfire. Place was super secluded so even when we got loud we didn’t bother any neighbors. Owners were great, easy to contact and understanding for anything! The lake was absolutely beautiful! Super clear and blue! We were able use their paddle boards and kayak which we got to check out the lake better! I highly recommend this place for any occasion:)
The property is at a great location for getting out of the hustle and bustle of life. It was clean and slept the number of people as described. We could not access the lake though from the property and the lake will benefit those into fishing. The property owner was very responsive, she helped us find the property as GPS was not as accurate. She responded to texts/emails very quickly and was very kind and polite. Thank you for extending the check out time. Will definitely recommend and in coming years will be willing to rent it again. Thank you Melissa
