"This is the perfect resort if you need quiet, to unwind, detox and relax. It's in rural Maskall Village and an hour away from the airport, set in the jungle. Aside from a couple of restaurants that looked like houses in the neighborhood, there were no surrounding businesses. The staff was super efficient and knew where we were at all times. Melanie is an awesome property manager and was on top of everything the whole time. She arranged our airport transfers and we were able to communicate for everything we needed via Whatsapp. Gloria and Sandy were everything when it was time to eat! 😋 The food there was prepared from the freshest ingredients and was super delicious. Amilcar took us on a medicinal hike, and was very knowledgeable about the surrounding vegetation and their healing properties. Marcella and Marleni at the spa gave us the best body scrub, body wrap, and massage services! Took all the toxins and put me right to sleep each time! 💤 😴 💆‍♀️ This is the perfect, out of the way, off the beaten path resort to relax and rejuvenate, with an emphasis on detoxing and holisticness. I definitely recommend."

"I cant say enough about James ( audrey was not there during our stay). James communicated very wel prior to our arrival. We stayed one night and wanted domething close to airport as we were flying to Dangriga the next day. He greeted us upon arrival and showed us around on the property. We got in around 4 pm and since his house is not located near a restaurant or shops, he volunteered to take us to asupermarket to get some groceries. How nice of him to go out of the way to accomodate us. And it wasnt any supermarket, probably one of the best in Belize. We liked the apartment. Had all the amenities needed and we felt very welcomed and safe. We left the next morning after breakfast. Will definitely recommend James and Audreys condo"

"The Gecko Bungalow is really something special! Scott and Michelle are incredible hosts -- when one in our party fell ill, they went above and beyond to make sure he was well cared for and comfortable, and they made sure we had everything we needed during our days there. Their hospitality is genuine, and you can see their passion for connecting with their guests. They make it feel like you're visiting them as friends, and aren't "just a customer" renting a room. The bungalows are super comfy & cozy, and have everything you need during your stay. (Finally, a place with beds and pillows that don't ruin you!) We were lucky enough to get a tour of each room, and you can’t help but appreciate the love and effort that has gone into every detail building this dreamy spot. It was a real treat listing to all the stories Scott has about building the place into a little slice of tropical paradise. Great location! When you're there, you really do feel like you're on your own private resort! But you are just a few minutes by car from the airport, market, restaurants & DiBruwry! We really enjoyed our few days there, and can’t wait to return! 🌴✨"
