"Staff were excellent. All staff were eager to please and were professional throughout our stay. Unfortunately, the food slightly let us down. My wife's main course kn our first evening was overly salted so she had to leave it. I tried it and also found it salty. First day breakfast was good but 2nd day breakfast was warm but not hot. Other than these minor points, we enjoyed our stay and would recommend. "

Whether it was cozying up indoors with the family or braving the elements to explore the surrounding area, we felt completely at home. "Very warm and friendly welcome. Check in was very easy. Room was very clean, comfortable, and warm. We ate dinner in the restaurant and it was very, very good - highly recommend their fish dishes. This is a gem of a hotel and we will definitely stay here again. Very convenient to Donegal airport (Carrickfinn). "Loved this cottage with history. We stayed in Rodden (not Owl) cottage, on the same property, and it was delightful. Lots of stone and heavy timbers, beautiful updating recently. A storm had knocked out water to Owl, so our host offered us Rodden, very accommodating. Only complaint was the fuel oil smell in the downstairs bedroom."
