"Very old but beautiful place, a little scary because it is so old, clean, because the furniture is so old and dry it is not cofy . Friendly staff. Good breakfast but nothing exceptional. Worth the price. The only thing is if you have a lot of luggage or a very heavy suitcase do not choose the cella/room #1 suite because it has two large flights of stairs and the hotel obviously does not have an elevator. I recommend it to have an experience and not to stay for several days"

"I wanted a simple clean place to sleep, close to Siena station, as I was arriving late evening. The key was left in the door for me, my room has everything I needed, clean, comfortable bed, shower, but best of all it was SUPER quiet, I slept very well. The owner communicated with WhatsApp, and even recommended places to eat, I had a fantastic pizza 🍕 only a 10 minute walk away. This is good, basic accomodation and does exactly what it says. "Hotel staff reached out a few days before my check-in for my anticipated arrival time. The check-in was busy (two other groups arriving within 5 minutes), but they had adequate staff to provide us all prompt service which had been an issue with some prior hotel/car bookings. "Did not realize that the shared bathroom was for all rooms in the hotel not just two adjoining rooms. Quite a hike up the the floor the hotel is located on. Otherwise we found the facilites very clean and the staff ere very helpful and courteous. Location was excellent and our overall experience very positive."

"This was a great location for staying in Montepulciano--right on one of the main walking streets, Gracciano nel Corso. Our host Amadeo went above and beyond helping us get around, trying to park the car, with restaurant recommendations, etc. Our room had a quiet patio attached, which was pleasant at night. "We have travelled extensively through Europe for the past 2 years and the Villa del Sole has to be one of the best and amazing hotel we have ever stayed in. Staff was sooooooo friendly and helpful. Even showed us the easiest and best way to get to the Piazza del Campo without going up and down the hills, lol. Breakfast was great, good selection. The best, mind blowing view of Siena you will find. We want to thank everyone for the friendly and generous service that was offered. We are definitely coming back! "
