"We had a lovely stay with friends at Champcevinel. The accommodation was impressive, with lots of glass taking in the amazing view. Florence was great at letting us know how to get there and access the property. Facilities are great - our kids loved the pool, although they say its a little cold - it needs a couple of good days over 30C to get it to a nice temperature. The bedrooms are comfortable (recommend bringing your own pillows though). Even on hot days the house stays just about cool...

"This is a great place to relax. The house is in a beautiful part of rural France, a very short distance from the Dordogne River, and we had a great time. The outdoor dining area is great for family meals, you will not even have to use the kitchen as there is a cooker, sink, fridge and dishwasher, as well as BBQs right besides the pool. The house will comfortably sleep 14, but one slight issue is the lack of air conditioning in the single dowmstairs bedroom, not an issue for us, as we all slept...

"The location was peaceful, quite and secluded which was what we wanted. Bernard the owner had thought of everything, the property was clean and well equipped. "We have had a disappointing experience with this vacation rental. All four of us have suffered from bed bugs. We initially thought we were dealing with mosquitoes. But the bites got so big and painful that it wasn't until later that we realized we were dealing with bed bugs. We complained about this to the landlord afterwards and it seemed only reasonable to us that they would refund half as our holiday enjoyment was seriously ruined. We have not received any response from the landlords."
