Ski-in / Short walk out, newly renovated 4 bedroom condo on Mt Crested Butte

Newly renovated penthouse slope side condominium, with 4 bedrooms 3 full baths and spectacular mountain views. The slopes adjacent to our condo are blue/black. To get to the slopes, you walk up the stairs, then 100yd across a parking lot, and drop in on lower championship for 50yards to ski right to the West Wall Express lift. From the top of the lift you are able to ski down to Red Lady or Silver Queen lifts on greens. These lifts access the whole mountain. Coming into the condo from skiing- the trail is less defined and does require blue/black abilities. Alternative is the mountain shuttle. It circles from the base and comes to the condo parking lot every 30 minutes. You can use it to go skiing, come home from skiing and to go into town.

Condo has huge open great room with living/kitchen/dining all together. It has a fireplace, comfortable new furniture, 14ft vaulted ceilings, smart TV in all bedrooms, and beautiful mountain views create wide open spaces for gathering. Balcony just off living dining room with huge triple slider for an amazing view all day long. Dining area has table seating for 8 plus 3 bar seats. Quartz countertops and updated modern kitchen well stocked with every spice, cooking utensil, and appliance one would need for feeding a large group.
On the main floor is the living room, dining room, kitchen, King master suite and two other bedrooms. Upstairs is another loft bedroom with its own full bathroom. Couch can sleep a 10th person. Convenient parking for two cars outside entrance to condominium. Condo is on third floor and requires 3 flights of stairs, no elevator on premises.
We tried to consider every convenience possible. The end tables and night stands all have electricity and USB outlets as well as the bar seating. Washer and dryer in unit, high speed WiFi, and free shuttle comes to parking lot.

Great condo
Great communication with owner and overall a very nice stay. For unloading its 86 steps going down to the condo. It’s 76 steps to go down to the parking lot. Therefore, no gym needed! The condo was very well equipped with everything we needed. Spectacular views!!!

Take the shuttle
Very nice property. We should have taken yhe owners advise and unload at the top and bring luggage down also, its better to take the shuttle at the end of the driveway than ski on/ski out. This was a black diamond ski in/ski out. Also, we left our skiis in the car at the lower lot driveway.

Great place (and clean), but probably needs new cleaning staff.
We had a great time here and the place is wonderful The cleaning crew was not ready at 4 when we arrived. They said "usually you shouldn't be here till 4" and i told them it was 4 and they, while being polite, were still cleaning for another 3 hours while we were there. They left a load of towels and sheets to dry and for us to put on the beds. Was not expecting that but we were ready for them to leave so we took on the task. That is the only complaint. This place is a good spot and we had a bunch of fun here.

Beautiful and amazing condo!
We had a great family vacation in Crested Butte. There are so many fantastic restaurants close by as well as quaint shops and small eateries . The condo was the perfect place, so spacious and comfortable. It felt like home ! Loved the kitchen , dinning room and living room. The views were incredible with pink- purple sunsets over the mountains and the wild flowers all around us. My husband and son enjoyed the hiking trails! Thank you Jen and Jon for an awesome stay! Yeaney family.

beautiful place but hard work in & out
The condo was spacious, clean & well stocked w everything we needed. Communication w the owners was seamless and they were very responsive. Full disclosure--this place is very hard to get in & out. 4 flights from the parking lot below, 3 flights down from the street above. Carrying ski equipment, luggage & groceries is treacherous, esp w the enormous amount of snow that fell every night while we were there. Although it is possible to walk to the slopes, it's up 3 flights first. Although it is possible to ski home, it requires crossing the boundary which some employees told us we could not do, while others said that we could. Even after you duck under the ropes, you have to cross deep drifts off the runs through grassland--the 4 of us are experienced skiers and 2 people still fell & had a lot of trouble getting back up from the multiple feet of snow in the drifts. If you have beginners, forget it--drive down and park. There is a bus but it only runs every 30 minutes. If you're very experienced w no difficulty crossing any terrain, it's ski in/ski out but you will definitely get your exercise!

Great location and condo. Owner was great - very responsive and helpful.
Owner even mailed some left behind items to me - so appreciative that he took the time to do that. I'm not sure how many places would contact you about ski pants that were left behind. 5 star service! Condo was great - very clean and had everything we needed. No issues at all. Great location. Only drawback was the very large amount of stairs to get in and out of condo. Otherwise all 5 stars.

Great place on the slopes!
Our group of seven really enjoyed this ski in/ski out unit! Yes, there are a lot of steps involved, so not for folks that are less mobile, but the unit was wonderful. The kitchen was the best equipped I've even seen and the beds/ bedrooms were very comfortable. We would gladly stay again!

Great for a group
The proximity to the slopes is nice for advanced skiers. You can drop in after a short walk and ski in back to the top of the stairs. It can be a bit challenging for those beginner and intermediate skiers/boarders. Highly recommend following the owner’s advice to park above the condo in order to drop off your luggage and groceries. Well equipped kitchen and nice views of the town.

Great location and a nice layout with room for everyone. The only negative is 75 steps up from the parking lot and 87 steps to get up to the ski out level.

Overall the property was just okay. The condo was clean, the appliances worked and the kitchen is fully stocked. The views are great, but the condo and furniture are dated. Also, the condo is located on the third floor and is a very tough climb from the parking lot below or even from the top. Carrying groceries, luggage and ski equipment up and down the stairs is exhausting. It is not ski in - ski out - climb the stairs and walk 75 yards to ski out. You need to have enough snow and be a good skier if you want to try to ski back even close to the condo.

The condo had plenty of space for us and everything we needed in the bedrooms, bathrooms and kitchen - all we needed to get was food! The place was super clean and the views from the deck were amazing! Communication with the manager was easy and clear. Would definitely recommend staying here.

The property is close to everything and the view was spectacular. Eldon was very accommodating and hospitable to have the place ready for us even earlier than the check in time. I recommend the place to any of my friends going to stay at Crested Butte.

This condo has slope side access. A short walk to ski down to lifts and ski back to the same location at the end of the day. Great views, lots of room for large groups and a well stocked kitchen with all the pots, pans and dishes for the group. PERFECT!!!

Perfect place for our weekend ski getaway.
There was an issue when we arrived that was not the fault of the owners and after contacting them, they made it MORE THAN RIGHT. The owner (and his wife) were so helpful and made our first trip to Crested Butte a wonderful experience. The place was perfect for our group and although there are quite a few stairs, the ease of getting to the slopes more than made up for it. Thank you so much Eldon and Joan for a great weekend!
