Charming and comfortable all year round, this quaint Shepherd’s Hut is nestled overlooking a Georgian farmhouse with picturesque views across the Herefordshire and Shropshire Hills. Buckton, a small hamlet outside the charming Roman village of Leintwardine, sits just North of the River Teme and provides outdoor enthusiasts with an abundance of walks and cycle paths to explore from the doorstep. Close to the borders of Powys and Shropshire you’re never too far away from adventure, including the scenic trails of Offa’s Dyke. Leintwardine (2 miles), Knighton (6.5 miles) and Presteigne (10 miles) offer the convenience of village amenities, along with a selection of country pubs to finish a fun day exploring with a home cooked meal and a local ale. A day in Ludlow (12 miles) is an absolute must or visit historic sites such as Berrington Hall and Castles of Croft and Stokesay.
Leave the hustle and bustle of the modern world behind as a few wooden steps lead you into the warmth of this handcrafted Welsh hut; thoughtfully designed and beautifully finished to maximise space and comfort during your rural retreat. The stylish kitchen provides all the space and equipment you’d need to rustle up a delicious meal for two, including a 2 ring induction hob, combi microwave oven and fridge with freezer shelf. Serve dinner on the foldaway table to create extra space during the day, along with two cosy foldaway chairs for relaxation. A stable door creates the illusion of additional space in this cosy hideaway whilst inviting the fresh, outdoor air, inside. As the night draws in, step up into the double bedroom for a peaceful nights sleep. Perfectly positioned to maximise the stunning views that surround the hut, when you wake in the morning, open the curtains, press the coffee and admire the sights and sounds of nature from the comfort of bed. There is also a small TV hung on the wall, with Chromecast. Freshen up in the indoor bathroom with full size shower, WC and basin. There is storage under the bed to help with luggage and belongings.
Heading outside there is private terrace in front of the hut with table and chairs set up for you to marvel at the views and immerse yourself this tranquil setting. Badger-faced sheep and resident ponies, Bobby and Sonny graze in the fields before you, while the babble of an ancient mill stream and birdsong create nature's playlist.
